My Background
At the age of 30, my career as a "double zero pencil sharpener" was over, and I spent 22 years addicted to adrenaline.
The drug OVERCROSS promised me daily dopamine in the now and seduced me into the adventure of tomorrow.
Quickly, I went from being an addict to the number one dopamine and adrenaline dealer!
Looking back, after more than half a million kilometers traveled through the bushes, jungles, and deserts of this world, always on the trail of adventure, I can consider myself lucky:
I got to experience a uniquely insane professional life with participants and comrades that shapes me to this day.
From the good fairy, I wish for
That after this intense, experience-rich professional life, I find the time and tranquility to enjoy quiet moments in warmth with my wife.

Christian Gunkel

Brazilian by birth and German when it comes to drinking beer...
What am I doing here?
At OVERCROSS, I am responsible for the management of our products in Latin America. My task is to find products that appeal to our customers, are interesting, and can provide unforgettable experiences. Personally, I place great importance on products that are adventure-oriented. I firmly believe that we can make any adventure possible at OVERCROSS!
Qualification
In Brazil, I studied music education as my first degree and worked for years for a leading company in the eco-tourism sector. In Germany, I studied interdisciplinary American studies, focusing on the relationships between the USA and China, diplomacy, and politics. This knowledge helps me enormously at OVERCROSS, as many of my tasks involve B2B, AI, negotiations, and similar activities.
My Background
I was born in the heart of the Amazon and have always worked in tourism. I never felt like I belonged to a particular place – the longing to discover other cultures was always present. Now that I am a father, I can no longer just wander the world with a backpack, but maybe I can take my son on an adventure soon. Maybe even aboard a powerful IVECO truck.
My three favorite countries
Australia, Brazil, Spain
From the good fairy I wish for…
I think I have already led quite an eventful life. I am so grateful that I just want to let fate take its course for now!
Significant experiences in my life
The birth of my son Luisinho was by far the most formative moment of my life. I was representing France at the Tübingen UN Conference (TMUN) in the last round of negotiations when his mother said, "I'm going to the hospital!" What followed was a complete turnaround. Oh yes, there’s also something else... I lost my breath climbing the imposing Huayna Potosí at 6,088m at -25 °C in Bolivia (the real story is even more dramatic :)
This adventure I want to experience in the next five years
Uff, I have so many...
I want to return to the Andes to climb the Nevado Alpamayo, 5,957m (the most beautiful mountain in the world) in Peru.
Trekking to the Monte Roraima Plateau in Brazil.
The Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu in Peru.
Ice climbing at Parinacota, 6,348m, in Bolivia.
A trekking tour near the Nanga Parbat in Nepal.
If I am no longer allowed to travel
I would simply buy a small boat and navigate the Amazon rivers with my son.

The creative mind from India, who knows remote paths as well as product management.
What am I doing here?
At OVERCROSS, I am responsible as a product manager for the Asian market. My job is to develop exciting new offerings that delight our customers and connect them with authentic experiences. I particularly value products that unify adventure, culture, and innovation. I believe that with OVERCROSS, we can make every dream of a discovery trip possible.
Qualification
I hold a master's degree in economics and management and bring an unusual mix of experience: three years as a travel agent in India taught me to understand the hidden treasures and nuances of the market – far beyond the obvious. This combination helps me create creative and successful products for our Asian customers.
My Background
I originally come from India, a country full of contrasts and adventures. Early on, I was fascinated by travel – whether on the roads of my homeland or on new paths in the world. When I’m not brainstorming new product ideas, I dream of being on the road again soon and discovering new cultures.
My three favorite countries
India, Japan, Thailand
From the good fairy I wish for…
I wish that I never lose my spirit of adventure and always find new inspirations for exciting projects.
Significant experiences in my life
My time as a travel agent showed me how important it is to connect with people and details – that has shaped not only my work but also my view of the world. A particularly special moment was my first big trip through the Himalayan region, which awakened my love for remote places and real adventures.
This adventure I want to experience in the next five years
A trekking tour through Ladakh to experience the impressive mountain world of India, and perhaps a long motorcycle trip through Southeast Asia.
If I am no longer allowed to travel
Then I would spend my time developing new products that awaken the longing for distant lands and exciting stories in our customers.
Maik Schneider
4x4 through Kenya and Tanzania.

"Chick from Overcross"
What am I doing here?
I am the all-rounder for everything related to social media, graphics, video, SEO, and our website – and of course for the boss's coffee. ;)
Qualification
I am currently in training at OVERCROSS. Thanks to my hobbies, I have already gained a lot of experience with graphics and video – which greatly benefits me in my work here.
My Background
I was born in Ukraine and graduated from music and school there. Right after my graduation, in the middle of the global lockdown, the war began. After a month of traveling through various countries in Europe, I finally landed in Germany. I have now been living and learning here for over three years. My German is quite good now – even though I still can't drink as much beer in one evening as an average German. :)
My three favorite countries
I have not traveled to many countries yet to name clear favorites. But my homeland will always be my heartland, no matter how many places I will discover.
From the good fairy I wish for…
I wish that no one else has to experience what war means.
Significant experiences in my life
When you travel from country to country for a month with two suitcases, your mother, and your dog – not knowing if you will find a home or safety anywhere – your perspective on the world changes. Perhaps we should offer such a tour as an adventure trip for the brave? What do you think?)
This adventure I want to experience in the next five years
I dream of traveling to Asia, especially Japan. But my biggest adventure would be a tour through my homeland as soon as it is safe there again. I want to visit the ghost town of Prypjat and explore the Carpathians.
If I am no longer allowed to travel…
Then I would simply take walks over Google Maps with my friends – which we already do regularly. So I am basically an experienced e-tourist. ;)

Hryhorii Sukhikh
What am I doing here?
I am an IT guy dealing with everything related to IT and SEO in our company.
Qualification (MANDATORY)
Studies: Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia).
Work: Extensive experience as a freelancer and working at the Israeli company Inango.
Previous experience
I have dedicated my entire conscious life to programming. Since my childhood, I have been writing code, teaching others how to write it, and trying to solve increasingly complex challenges and tasks.
My three favorite countries
Ukraine, Japan, Czech Republic
My wish to the good fairy...
Never lose my drive and myself.
Significant events in my life
It’s hard to say what has truly been significant. I would say something extraordinary and cool has happened over the last three years.
An adventure I want to experience in the next five years
In the next five years, I definitely want to visit Everest or at least its base camp. I don’t want to just be another Everest tourist; I want to experience and feel the life of the "mountain dwellers".
If I couldn't travel anymore
Then I would buy myself armor and a huge sword and participate in Buhurt battles. Would I do that even if I could travel? Definitely!

Fares Felhi
What am I doing here?
I am currently an intern in the IT team at Overcross, where I contribute to tasks in development and marketing.
Qualification
I am a student at the Esprit School of Engineering and am gradually developing my skills through my studies, academic projects, and initial professional experiences.
Experience
I had the opportunity to work on several projects at Esprit and complete internships at Tunisie Telecom and Ooredoo. These experiences have further strengthened my interest in the IT field.
About Me
I am passionate about computer science and artificial intelligence. I love creating new things, learning, and developing innovative projects. My goal is to build a successful career, constantly develop myself, and discover new cultures all over the world.
Maya Schiessler
What am I doing here?
I am currently still in training to become the EU tour manager for Overcross.
Qualification:
I grew up in the Canary Islands and learned early on how important it is for people to be well cared for on their vacations. As a young woman, I started a small village organic store with a friend and later launched a bakery. My strength is my excellent customer service, which qualifies me as a career changer at Overcross.
My Background:
Growing up on the Canary Island of Lanzarote, I love the quiet life here. Running the organic store and my little bakery with all the lovely customers was a beautiful experience.
Now that I have become a mom, I naturally also spend a lot of time with my son.
My 3 favorite countries:
Besides my island, I am most fascinated by Switzerland, France, and Holland. The nature in Northern Europe is fascinating and different from here in the south.
From the good fairy, I wish for…
Peace, health, and much love for all of us.
Decisive experiences in my life:
The birth of my child was the most important moment of my life so far. Such a small being, just in my belly and now already out in the world, is a miracle of nature.
This adventure I want to experience in the next five years:
Every day is an adventure, and often it’s the small things that bring you the greatest joy.
What would you do if traveling were no longer an option?
I would continue traveling in my imagination and virtually accompany people on their journeys.

Russia - so close and yet so far. Europe but completely incomprehensible. And much more than just Red Square and the Kremlin. These are the impressions that linger when you spend time in the country.
After 7 years, I have seen quite a bit, yet the desire to continue discovering and exploring steadily grows. And again and again the realization: "Well, I haven't experienced that yet."

The first tours with Joe were (2011) in Switzerland and Germany, from curve to curve, until the loss of tread ;-)
Over the years, I have repeatedly tried to persuade Joe and a few other bikers to join a tour in the Western Alps. After many years of friendship and 10,000 kilometers in the Western Alps, we had one or two legendary tours! Today I have traveled beyond the Western Alps and am now in India touring from highlight to highlight with Royal Enfield.
Here lies the adventure, and I am excited for you to join us; see you in India.
