Auckland International Airport is the largest and best-connected airport in New Zealand. It offers numerous international connections and is an ideal starting point for motorcycle trips. From there, you can easily fly to Christchurch or Queenstown, which are also great destinations to start your motorcycle tour.

The local currency in New Zealand is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). Credit cards are widely accepted, so it is not necessary to carry large amounts of cash. However, please note that some smaller shops and markets accept cash only. It is advisable to have enough cash for outings in rural areas.

Travel insurance is not required, but is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen costs. While no specific vaccinations are necessary, your general vaccination status should be checked. A disease such as ERM may require a vaccination status for high-risk areas. Be sure to check recommended vaccinations well in advance of your departure!
