Our three Chile motorcycle tours range from the compact 8-day South Patagonia trip: Tierra del Fuego and Torres del Paine, through the 15-day Bariloche to Ushuaia journey, to the 27-day Ruta 40 expedition from Salta to Ushuaia. Every tour mixes asphalt with long gravel stretches on the Carretera Austral, the Andean passes of Ruta 40 and the roads around Torres del Paine, so comfort on loose surfaces matters more than raw riding experience.
You ride a rental motorcycle we provide, typically a BMW F700GS with the option to upgrade to a BMW F800GS; own bikes are not shipped out for the Chile tours. Groups run from 4 to 10 riders, small enough for the guide to adapt the pace to the mixed terrain and the region's changeable weather. A 4x4 support vehicle with a mechanic travels with the group on every tour, and border paperwork for the Chile-Argentina crossings is handled for you.
