The official currency of Montenegro is the Euro (EUR). Credit cards are accepted in most cities, but it is advisable to bring cash for rural areas, markets, and smaller shops. ATMs are easy to find, but some may be missing in remote areas. Ensure you have enough Euros for off-road travel and unforeseen expenses.
Vaccinations are not mandatory, but health authorities recommend common vaccinations such as tetanus and hepatitis A. A travel insurance is strongly recommended to be covered in case of medical emergencies or unexpected events. Inform yourself about local health conditions beforehand to be well prepared for your outdoor adventure.
