Both Nepal motorcycle tours run at a solid intermediate level, but they cover different ground. The 13-day Himalaya tour mixes paved switchbacks and easy gravel around Kathmandu and the Annapurna foothills. The 16-day Mustang tour adds the Kali Gandaki gorge: loose scree, river crossings and thin high-desert tracks. If you ride confidently standing on gravel and can handle a river ford, either tour works; Mustang simply asks more of you.
Neither tour brings your own motorcycle to Nepal. On the Himalaya route you ride a Royal Enfield Himalayan provided locally, insured with a 500 euro deductible and a 500 euro deposit. On the Mustang route you're on a 250cc Asia Wing enduro built for the rougher terrain. Both machines are prepared and checked before you arrive, so you start the tour on a bike that's ready for the road ahead.
Daily distances stay short but demanding because of altitude, passes and surface: the stage from Kathmandu to Kurintar alone runs about 110 km. You're on the road for 13 days on the Himalaya tour or 16 days heading to Mustang, in groups of 4 to 10 riders. Each day opens with a briefing on the day's route, then several hours in the saddle with a support vehicle and multilingual guide alongside you, ending in simple guesthouses or, on the Mustang route, camps.

What's included in the price of a Nepal motorcycle tour?
The 13-day Himalaya tour (from €3,479) and the 16-day Mustang tour (from €4,480) both include an experienced multilingual guide, a support vehicle with luggage transport, accommodation and meals as described, and the legally required travel security certificate. International flights and travel insurance are not included.

Do I need special permits for the Mustang route?
Yes. Upper Mustang is a restricted area and the Annapurna region requires its own entry permit. Both are included in the Mustang tour price and organised for you as part of the booking, so there's nothing you need to arrange yourself.
How does booking and payment work?
After your enquiry you'll receive a personal offer including the mandatory travel security certificate. The booking becomes binding once you confirm it; after that you'll get your trip folder, packing list and all further details for Nepal.
What gear should I bring for a Nepal motorcycle tour?
Bring sturdy riding gear for mixed conditions: jacket and trousers, off-road boots, gloves and a good helmet work well for both the paved stretches and the gravel or river crossings on either tour. Ask us for a full packing list once you've booked.
