The Sahara 4x4 tour and the Sylvester Sahara tour sit in between: both run 15 days and ask for confident off-road driving on dunes, piste and the Chott el Djerid salt lake.
You drive your own 4x4 on every tour; the Libya expedition also welcomes motorbikes. A support vehicle and an experienced guide travel with the group throughout, ready to help with recovery or repairs, so you are never out there alone even on the longest piste stages.

What is included in the price of a Tunisia 4x4 tour?
Every Tunisia tour includes an experienced, German-speaking guide, route planning with all required desert permits, and the legally required travel security certificate under German law (§651r BGB). Camps, hotel stays and meals from the expedition kitchen are included as described for each tour; flights to Tunisia, local fuel and travel health insurance are not part of the base price.

How large are the tour groups?
Group sizes vary by tour: the Libya expedition takes between 8 and 12 vehicles for close guiding in remote terrain, while our other Tunisia tours run in larger groups of up to 26 or 36 vehicles depending on the route. Every group travels with a support vehicle and an experienced guide.
What should I pack, and is any gear provided?
Each tour includes a tour folder with a full equipment, packing and checklist, plus a radio for every vehicle in the group so you stay in contact on the piste. Vehicle preparation requirements are shared with you after booking, based on the tour and its terrain.
How does booking and payment work?
After your enquiry you receive a personal offer including the travel security certificate required under §651r BGB. Your booking becomes binding once you confirm it, after which you receive your tour folder, packing list and all further information for your Tunisia trip.
