The best airport for arriving in the Balkan region depends on your destination. The largest airports are in Belgrade (Serbia), Zagreb (Croatia), and Tirana (Albania). These airports offer many international connections and are ideal for travelers seeking off-road adventures. From there, you have access to many transport options to your desired travel destinations.

The local currency varies from country to country – Serbian Dinars (RSD) in Serbia, Croatian Kuna (HRK) in Croatia, etc. Credit cards are accepted in larger cities and facilities, but it is advisable to also carry cash for rural areas and smaller shops. Exchange bureaus or ATMs are often available to obtain currency.
