Our two Uganda motorcycle tours are built for different appetites. The 10-day Motorcycle trip through Uganda rides in a group of 4 to 8, on combo terrain, a mix of paved roads and off-road tracks, and is rated skill level 2 in our grading. The 21-day Motorcycle trip through Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi carries 6 to 10 riders, also on combo terrain, rated skill level 1, with a multilingual guide included as standard.
On both tours a rental motorcycle is included in the price, a Kibo K250 on the 10-day trip, so there's no need to bring or ship your own machine. The 21-day safari adds a support vehicle with a local driver and an accompanying mechanic, useful for luggage and technical backup as the route crosses Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. On the shorter tour a multilingual guide can be added on request.
Each day follows the printed itinerary stage by stage, for example from Kampala to Jinja and on toward Kapchorwa, Moroto and Kidepo Valley National Park on the 10-day tour, finishing back in Kampala. Nine overnight stays are included on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Both tours set aside one full day in the rainforest of Bwindi National Park for gorilla trekking, a fixed highlight of the itinerary.

Uganda sits on the equator and can be ridden all year. The dry seasons give the best riding: June to September, and December to February. March-May and October-November bring rain, which can leave dirt and marram tracks slippery, especially in the north and southwest. For the month-by-month picture, see our Uganda travel guide.
