Our Italy motorcycle tours are both built around Sardinia, but they sit at different skill levels. The guided tour on a rental motorcycle stays mostly on tarmac and easy tracks along the coast and through the Supramonte hills, so solid road riding experience is all you need; no off-road background required. The Offroad Enduro tour pushes further into the Gennargentu massif on gravel, loose rock and sandy stretches, so you should already be confident standing on the pegs and braking on a loose surface before you sign up.
You are welcome to bring your own motorcycle on either tour. We can ship it by ferry between Genoa and Olbia for an extra 200 euros including insurance, or you ride the ferry over yourself. Prefer to travel light? The guided tour also comes with a rental motorcycle waiting for you at the port, so you fly in and start riding without shipping a bike at all.
Every riding day starts with a briefing on the stage ahead. On the guided rental-bike tour, our tour guide rides along in the group once eight or more riders have booked; on the Enduro route, the guide follows in a support vehicle and stays in radio contact once the terrain gets technical. Evenings bring a small hotel, sometimes with a pool, or a night under canvas on the Enduro tour, followed by a traditional Sardinian dinner and a free day to swim before the next stage.
Experience required
The rental-bike tour needs confident, everyday road riding skills on winding coastal tarmac, no off-road background required. The Offroad Enduro tour is for experienced riders only: you must be comfortable standing on the pegs, braking on loose gravel and handling sandy stretches in the Gennargentu massif.

Yes, on both tours. Bring your own machine and we ship it by ferry between Genoa and Olbia for an extra 200 euros including insurance, or ride the ferry over yourself. The rental-bike tour also offers a motorcycle waiting for you at the port.
Daily distance
Distances vary by tour: the rental-bike route mixes coastal tarmac with easy tracks at a comfortable daily pace, while the Enduro tour is paced by the technical terrain in the Gennargentu massif rather than raw kilometres covered.
Typical day
Each day opens with a stage briefing. On the rental-bike tour our guide rides in the group once eight or more riders have booked; on the Enduro tour the guide follows in a support vehicle with radio contact. Evenings bring a hotel or a night under canvas, plus dinner and rest days to swim.
Best time to ride
Sardinia can be ridden from April through October. Riders heading into the Gennargentu massif for the off-road stages should aim for May to October, when the gravel tracks are driest. Cooler, wetter months bring quieter coast roads but rougher trails inland.

What's included in the price of an Italy motorcycle tour?
Every Sardinia tour includes a tour guide once your group reaches eight riders, the ferry crossing between Genoa and Olbia with port fees, your overnight stays with breakfast as listed for that tour, one traditional Sardinian dinner and the statutory travel protection certificate required under German law (paragraph 651r BGB). Flights, fuel, drinks and travel health insurance are booked and paid separately.
Do I need my own motorcycle, or can I rent one?
Either works. Bring your own bike on the Offroad Enduro tour or the guided tour, and we ship it by ferry between Genoa and Olbia for an extra 200 euros including insurance, or you ride the ferry across yourself. If you would rather not ship a bike at all, the guided tour also comes with a rental motorcycle waiting for you in Sardinia.
How large are the groups on an Italy motorcycle tour?
The Offroad Enduro tour through Sardinia runs with 5 to 14 riders, and the guided tour with rental motorcycle runs with 5 to 8 riders. On the guided tour, our tour guide rides along in the group once at least eight participants have booked; in smaller groups you ride with the support vehicle only.
What does an Italy motorcycle tour cost?
Prices start at 1,519 euros for the nine-day guided tour with rental motorcycle and run up to 1,949 euros for the Offroad Enduro tour through Sardinia. Departures for the guided tour in September 2027 are already listed from 1,473 euros. Your final price depends on the season and whether you bring your own bike or rent one.
How does booking and the deposit work?
After your enquiry you receive a personal offer for your chosen Sardinia tour, including the statutory travel protection certificate under paragraph 651r BGB. Your booking becomes binding once you confirm it, and you then receive the tour folder with your packing list, roadbook and all further details before departure.
