Brazil is the paradise for adventure travel. Here you will find spectacular landscapes, from the majestic rainforests of the Amazon to the golden beaches of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro. The vibrant culture and diverse wildlife create an unforgettable adventure. Discover impressive natural highlights such as the Iguaçu Falls and experience exciting city nights in Rio. The fascinating carnival and distinctive culinary delights, such as Feijoada and Moqueca, provide further incentive to explore this diverse country.
All four Brazil round trips are rated skill level 1, open to anyone who wants to see Rio, the Amazon and Iguaçu without any special travel experience or preparation. You move through the program together with your group and a local guide, from Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio to a jungle lodge on the Amazon.
You do not need your own vehicle for this trip. Local transfers and the excursions described for each tour are already part of the program, and most tours include a local guide on the ground; on the Luxury trip you even travel between stops in a private car. You get in, let yourself be driven and focus on what is ahead of you: the Christ statue, the waterfalls, the rainforest.
A typical day alternates between sightseeing, transfers and free time. Mornings bring an excursion such as the Iguaçu Falls or a Rio city tour, midday is for lunch and a break, and afternoons continue on to the next stop or leave you free on the beach. During the Amazon stage you spend several nights at a rainforest lodge, from where jungle treks and canoe tours start.
Skill level 1: all four Brazil round trips suit beginners, no special travel experience or fitness is required.
Not needed: you are driven throughout the trip. Local transfers are included on every tour, and most also include a local guide as part of the program.
No fixed distance: the daily plan follows the sightseeing program, not a number of kilometres in the saddle or behind the wheel.
Sightseeing in the morning, a lunch break, then a transfer or free afternoon; on the Amazon stage you spend several nights at a rainforest lodge.
Best time to travel: July to September, when the dry season keeps the Amazon easy to reach for jungle lodges and boat trips. Rio and the coast work as a year-round stop on your round trip. Around Iguaçu, conditions stay calmer outside the wettest months. See the full season breakdown on our Brazil travel information page.
