Discover Morocco, the motorcycle paradise of North Africa! With breathtaking landscapes, exciting desert tours, and the majestic Atlas Mountains, OVERCROSS® offers customized tours for every adventure.
Few countries in the world pack so much riding into such a small area. In a single day you can cross a 2260-metre Atlas pass, follow a dry riverbed through the Drâa Valley and park your bike inside a thousand-year-old medina in Marrakech. Tarmac that feels like the Alps, pistes that feel like Dakar, and dunes that feel like nowhere else — all within a week. At Overcross we have been running guided rides across this corner of North Africa since 1999. Our routes cover smooth mountain tarmac, rocky off-road tracks and the Sahara dunes near Merzouga and Erg Chegaga. We ride Paris-Dakar legs, climb the Tizi n'Tichka pass and cross Jebel Saghro on tracks most travellers never see. You can join us on a BMW GS for a road trip, on a KTM enduro for serious off-road, or on a Honda Africa Twin for the mix of both. Every route is planned, tested and ridden by our own team before a single client books a seat.
Most European, UK and US travellers do not need a visa for trips up to 90 days. Check your country's rules before you book — they change sometimes. Visa on arrival is not offered in Morocco, so apply online or at a Moroccan consulate if you need one. Your passport must be valid
Most of our Morocco motorcycle tours start from Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK). It has direct flights from most European cities and sits close to the Atlas Mountains. Casablanca Airport (CMN) is the second option, with cheap conne
Morocco uses the Dirham (MAD). Bring cash for daily costs — small shops, roadside cafés and rural areas rarely take cards. You will find ATMs in every city, but not always in the desert. Tell your bank before you travel so they don't block your card on the first purchase.
Doctors usually recommend Hepatitis A and Tetanus shots before you travel to Morocco. Travel insurance is not optional — make sure yours covers motorcycle accidents and medical evacuation. Many standard policies exclude bikes over 125cc, so check the small print. We can recommend specialist riders' insurance if you need it.
You need a valid driving licence to ride in Morocco. EU, UK and US licences are accepted, but we strongly recommend bringing an International Driving Permit too. Moroccan police occasionally ask for it at checkpoints. The IDP costs about 20 € at home and takes one day to get.
