Harley Davidson motorcycle trip in Mexico

Arrival at Los Angeles Airport and transfer to your hotel. Explore L.A.'s nightlife in Hollywood or Santa Monica, or just get a good rest to start your unique motorcycle trip fresh and lively.

Today you will drive south on Mexico Highway 1 and leave the bustling border towns. You will dive deeper into Baja, where Cirio trees and giant Cardon cacti will start to appear along the road. You will reach the Vizcaino Desert, one of the most fascinating desert regions on this continent, and have a wide view of rock formations, rugged hills, and dense desert vegetation. You will just arrive in Catavina in time to enjoy the sunset in the desert behind huge rocks and Cardon cacti. You will have a long drive tomorrow, so make sure you can rest well.

Today you will drive down Devils Grade, a seven-mile winding road that takes you down to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. Further along the coast is the beautiful Bahía Concepción Bay, another scenic delight of Baja California, with deep blue waters, volcanic islands, and secluded beaches. In the afternoon, you will reach Loreto, the oldest Spanish settlement on the West Coast. The town offers a picturesque central plaza, shopping opportunities, and a selection of excellent restaurants.

Enjoy a well-deserved day of rest in the charming fishing village of Los Barriles by the sea. Watch the breathtaking sunrise over the calm blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. There are many daytime activities in Los Barriles. Go sport fishing, rent an ATV and drive along miles of beaches, go paddle boarding or kayaking, indulge yourself at the spa, or simply relax by the hotel pool.

It is time to head north again. Today we will travel along the Pacific coast to the small artist community of Todos Santos. Here you can spend some time walking through the town and visiting art galleries and souvenir shops. Enjoy fresh fish tacos at one of the small taco stands or enjoy a delicious meal at the famous Hotel California. After lunch, we return to the Sea of Cortez and the capital La Paz, which is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Baja.

Enjoy a day off in one of the most charming cities of Baja, Loreto. Loreto was founded in 1697 by Jesuit missionaries and is the oldest settlement in Baja. Visit the historic mission Our Lady of Loreto, which is the starting point of El Camino Real (The King's Highway), a historic corridor that ends in Sonoma, California, following the old route of the Spanish missions. Visit the Loreto Bay Marine Park for a day of snorkeling and kayaking. In the months of March and April, you can also go whale watching.

On Highway 1, it continues north through the vast desert landscape of Valle de los Cirios. The desert is full of a variety of plants, including the Cirio tree. After a lunch break in Cataviña, it goes back over winding roads to the Pacific coast and finally to your beach hotel in San Quintin.

Today your journey takes you back to the United States. You can take Highway 3 from Ensenada and enjoy a scenic drive through the vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe towards the Mexico/USA border at Tecate. Back in the USA, you can ride through some great motorcycle roads in the eastern landscape of San Diego as you make your way to the coast of San Diego. It's a bittersweet feeling, as it is now time to part ways with your Harleys. But the memories of this unforgettable motorcycle trip will stay with you forever.
