The Ukraine Off-Road Vehicle Expedition begins in Tübingen. Via Munich, we reach Prague in the afternoon, where we take our first accommodation. During the joint dinner, the participants get to know each other, and an initial briefing prepares for the upcoming days of this expedition.
Krakow – Gateway to Eastern Europe
After breakfast in Prague, the drive through Bohemia and Silesia to Krakow begins. We explore the old town and the Jewish quarter Kazimierz before discussing the upcoming stages of our Carpathian Offroad Expedition Ukraine, which will soon take us off-road.
Border crossing – 4x4 Expedition Ukraine

Swydowez – Roof of Ukraine

This Ukraine SUV trip reaches the capital Kyiv. We visit the Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the site of the Maidan Revolution, and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the suburbs of Sviatoshyn and Troieshchyna, we also see the traces of the siege of Kyiv.
Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel – Resistance
This Ukraine 4x4 Offroad trip leads to the places that became symbols of resistance. We visit the rebuilt cities Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel, hear the stories of the locals, and commemorate at St. Andrew's Church as well as at Antonov Airport the events of 2022.

The last day of this 4x4 vehicle tour Ukraine takes us to the Ukrainian village, an ethnocomplex near Kyiv. We participate in craft demonstrations, bake bread, and conclude the expedition at a traditional feast with borscht, varenyky, and live music.

Basic off-road knowledge in handling a 4x4 vehicle is helpful, but not a must. Our experienced guides will give you a detailed briefing on the off-road techniques on-site. The tour is suitable for both experienced 4x4 drivers and motivated beginners.

Yes! You can experience the entire expedition as a passenger in one of our fully equipped 4x4 vehicles and focus entirely on the landscape, route, and the stories along the way.

You will stay in a combination of comfortable hotels (3-4*) and authentic accommodations in the mountains as well as at selected campsites. You will spend several nights in wild camping mode at special locations such as by Lake Synewyr or on the Swydowez Ridge, equipped with our expedition gear.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the tour price. Breakfast is served in the hotels, and on camping days, the group prepares dinner together. Cooking together by the campfire is part of the experience and strengthens team spirit; our guides will show you typical Ukrainian dishes. Lunch will be provided on-the-go as a picnic or in local restaurants.

To participate in this 4x4 off-road tour, you need a terrain-capable vehicle with low gearing. An ideal choice would be a Land Rover Defender 130 CC or a Toyota Hilux pickup, which you can rent from us. Own vehicles are also possible; larger modifications are not strictly necessary. We will provide you with an overview of sensible equipment recommendations. All-terrain tires are sufficient, mud-terrain tires are optional.
