The Ukraine 4x4 Offroad Journey is a 14-day off-road vehicle expedition through the Carpathians, Lviv, and Kamianets-Podilskyi to the reconstruction symbols of Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel.
The Journey
The Ukraine 4x4 Offroad Journey begins in the Carpathians and continues to Lviv and Kamianets-Podilskyi, where traditions are passed down from generation to generation. As a 4x4 Expedition Ukraine, the route then goes to Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel, where battles were fought not long ago – places that have become symbols of resistance and restoration. You see them without filter, but with the deepest respect. This Offroad Journey Ukraine connects wild mountain and steppe paths of the Carpathians with historic cities and medieval fortresses.
The Ukraine Off-Road Vehicle Expedition begins in Tübingen. Via Munich, we reach Prague in the afternoon, where we take our first accommodation. During the joint dinner, the participants get to know each other, and an initial briefing prepares for the upcoming days of this expedition.
After breakfast in Prague, the drive through Bohemia and Silesia to Krakow begins. We explore the old town and the Jewish quarter Kazimierz before discussing the upcoming stages of our Carpathian Offroad Expedition Ukraine, which will soon take us off-road.
This 4x4 Expedition Ukraine crosses the border at Przemysl. Wide fields, old villages, and traces of the Soviet era line the way until we reach Lviv in the afternoon. The evening takes us to the restaurant Kryjivka, whose stories tell of the struggle for freedom and resistance.
The day is dedicated entirely to exploring Lviv: cobblestone old town alleys, the Lychakiv Cemetery, and the magnificent opera house. This 14 Days Ukraine Offroad Trip combines urban culture with coffee and beer culture, before heading to the Carpathians the next day.
This Off-Road Tour Ukraine leaves Lviv and soon leaves the asphalt behind. Steep trails, muddy dips, and river crossings require full concentration. We reach the rock fortress Tustan and set up our first camp in the middle of the Carpathians.
On old forest paths, this Ukraine Camping Offroad Trip leads deeper into the Carpathians until we reach the Synewyr Lake. We camp right by the shore, cook over an open fire, and listen to a local ranger who tells of the legends of this special place.
This Ukraine off-road adventure takes us to Kolotschawa, the village of ten museums. We dive into the world of the Hutsuls, try moonshine Horilka, and learn about ancient craftsmanship techniques. Those who wish can take an additional off-road ride into the surrounding area in the afternoon.
