Spain's four tours span three different kinds of riding, from tarmac to genuine offroad. The Andalusia enduro trip runs 70 to 80% off-road across white mountain villages and dry riverbeds, suited to beginners through experienced riders thanks to a half-day basic training on day two. The Spanish Pyrenees trip is a guided road tour over passes between Barcelona and San Sebastian, open to any confident road rider, no off-road skill required. Both Canary Islands trips run on-road, at your own pace on a roadbook route across the volcanic islands.
Your own bike works for the Andalusia trip; a Honda CRF230 (2007) is available to rent instead for an extra 509 euros if you'd rather not ship or ride your own. The Pyrenees tour includes your rental with fuel, so you ride the tour bike provided. On both Canary Islands trips you ride a rental too, up to 750cc on the 7-day island route and up to 700cc on the 12-day six-island trip, no mileage limit either way.
Days differ by tour. In Andalusia you ride five guided stages with a German-speaking guide, in a group of up to six riders, after your half-day training. The Pyrenees trip covers 10 days with a multilingual guide and mechanic alongside, groups of 5 to 10 riders. On the Canary Islands trips you follow your own roadbook each day, solo or in a group of up to 10, with 24-hour emergency backup if you need it.
Andalusia suits beginners through experienced riders thanks to a half-day basic training on day two. The Pyrenees trip needs confident road experience, no off-road skill required. Both Canary Islands tours are on-road and open to any licensed rider.
Bring your own bike on the Andalusia trip, or rent a Honda CRF230 (2007) there for an extra 509 euros. The Pyrenees tour and both Canary Islands tours run on a rental bike included in the price, up to 750cc or 700cc, with no mileage limit.
We don't publish exact daily distances. Andalusia rides five guided stages over 7 nights, the Pyrenees trip runs 10 guided days coast to coast, and on both Canary Islands tours you set your own daily distance from the roadbook.
Andalusia: half-day training, then five guided stages with your guide, up to six riders, 7 nights with breakfast and dinner. Pyrenees: 10 guided days with a mechanic on hand, groups of 5 to 10, hotels with breakfast and dinner. Canary Islands: self-guided by roadbook, 24-hour emergency backup, solo or in a group of up to 10.
Spain rides nearly all year, it's the region that decides the season. Head to the Pyrenees in summer, for long days on high mountain passes. Escape north European winter in Andalusia or the Canary Islands, both ridden through the colder months. For the month-by-month picture, see our Spain travel information page.
