Welcome to Ahmedabad. Let’s begin this wonderful motorcycle adventure journey in Gujarat. Regardless of whether you arrive by train, plane or car, we will pick you up and take you to your hotel in a private taxi. Later in the day, you will meet your tour guide along with other guests, who will talk about the Gujarat tour, provide tips for riding in India, and other valuable insights to help you enjoy your experience better. We will then take a short ride around the area and give you a gentle introduction to motorcycle riding in India, in case you have not ridden in this incredible country before.

Ahmedabad – Modhera - Patan – Bajana (245 km / approx. 5 hours)

After breakfast, we will visit the Sabarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi. It is located amidst shady trees and just one or two steps from the banks of the Sabarmati River. This was originally the home of Mahatma Gandhi and is now a historical site and museum that certainly offers the opportunity to engage with the life and history of this incredible man of peace. After that, we will ride to Modhera and visit the Sun Temple with its Kamasutra sculptures. The Sun Temple of Modhera is an ancient Hindu temple in the village of Modhera near Patan in Gujarat. We will then continue our ride to Bajana. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bajana. (B/D)

Bajana – Bhuj (250 km / approx. 5 hours)

Our day begins with another breakfast to nourish body and soul, and time to reflect on Bajana, and “hmm”, this sweet tension of desire to stay, whether I want to leave this paradise of nature and beauty, and feel the pull of the road and our onward journey to our next destination is what we will do by thanking Bajana for its offerings before we depart and make our way to Bhuj. Nestled at an equal distance between the Raan-of-Kutch Lake and the Gulf of Kutch, which opens to the Arabian Sea. Bhuj is also not far from the Pakistan border.

Bhuj – Great Raan of Kutch – Bhuj (100 km / approx. 1.5 hours)

After a leisurely breakfast, we head northwest towards the Pakistan border to the Great Raan of Kutch, a round trip of about 200 km from Bhuj. Here you will experience the wilderness of India in its purest form. Many parts are untouched and have remained unchanged for one or two eras! Waterholes, lakes, and scrub forests provide shelter and habitat for flamingos and wild asses amidst the surrounding expanse. Bhuj is a place where you will certainly want to leave with a few rupees to acquire many gifts offered in the local markets with handicrafts and textiles. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B/D)

Bhuj – Gondal (270 km / approx. 5.5 hours)

After enjoying a cozy breakfast and some good spicy chai, today’s ride will take a long curve. First eastward and then south to Gondal, passing by the Gulf of Kutch, which opens to the Arabian Gulf, over a dry riverbed that comes alive in the monsoon season. Once we arrive in Gondal, there is much to see, such as the Naulakha Palace with its intricate architecture of balconies, arches, and spiral staircases. Gondal is a small town with a generous heart. Gondal – Junagarh – Sasan Gir (125 km / approx. 2.5 hours)

We are in no hurry this morning as our ride to Gir National Park is a short 125 km south and not far from the coast and the Arabian Sea, so a leisurely breakfast is welcome. On the way, we will visit Junagadh. We will visit the mausoleum of Sultan Mahabat. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B/D)

Sasan Gir

In the morning and afternoon, we will take jeep safaris in Gir Forest, searching for Asiatic lions. Gir National Park features a varied landscape of forests and hilly terrain and is home to both humans and animals. Most come to see the Asiatic lion, which lives here, making the park both a home and a sanctuary for the “king of beasts.” Besides the lions, numerous animals and birds live here, including the elusive leopard, which is rarely spotted but resides in the park. Also residing in the park area are tribal members and herders with their cattle and buffaloes. This place is a paradise for animal lovers and photographers. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B/D)

Gir – Somnath - Diu (130 km / approx. 3 hours)

Today we travel to Diu. Diu, if you closely study the map, you will see that it is an island and one could say the southernmost island in Gujarat. It is oriented south toward the Arabian Sea and presents a contrast to the Gir National Park that we have just left since it is surrounded by saltwater and has nearby beaches. On the way, we will visit the temple of Somnath. This famous Shiva temple sits directly by the sea. We will spend two nights in Diu, and it will invite us to explore the island. So let’s start the day with a healthy breakfast before we set out to welcome the sunshine and the day outside. In Diu, there is much to see and do, but there is no hurry. At the western tip is the Diu Fort. The nearby Naida Caves are fascinating, shaped by nature and the Portuguese. If you drive 3 km west, you will find the Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple perched on the cliff in the tranquility of land and sea. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the most revered Hindu gods. Nagao Beach offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy sun, sea, and sand. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B/D)

Diu – Bhavnagar (200 km / approx. 4 hours)

Wake up and enjoy the day, which offers you the rising sun and the gentle waves lapping the shore for a wonderful start to the day. We will ride along the coast eastward, with land to our left and the sea to our right. Following this direction will surely lead us to Bhavnagar. The Gandhi Museum and Memorial offer better insight and understanding of this incredible man we know as Mahatma Gandhi. Just north of the city lies another wildlife sanctuary, Velavadar, with its many miles of sandy-colored grasslands and non-permanent streams, home to the exceptionally fast Blackbuck antelope with its unique twisted, elegant horns. Our journey to Jambhughoda takes us along the west and north sides of the Gulf of Khambhat, a massive bay that opens to the Arabian Sea and narrows at Vadodara to embrace the Mahi River within us. We will again be in the mountains and countryside, enjoying the scenery, aromas, and beauty, whose picturesque ruggedness enchants this somewhat longer ride. We will stay two nights in Jambhughoda. Jambughoda

Jambughoda, a small village, has the feeling of being miles away from the human crush of city life. It is intentionally located close to the Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary, a wilderness of colors, formations, and semi-isolation that radiates an enthusiastic bliss. The vegetation-covered sanctuary offers sanctuary to wildlife, both predatory and prey, as well as plants of various species. Dams preserve their liquid resources and serve both tribal communities and the forest, cascading water from varying sizes.

Jambughoda – Champaner - Vadodra (90 km / approx. 1.5 hours)

After breakfast and chai or coffee, we will head west toward Vadodara with the sun at our back. On the way to Vadodara, we will visit Champaner. In earlier times, Champaner was the seat of a Bhil dynasty, founded by King Champa Bhil. We will visit the Jami Mosque, part of the Champaner-Pavagadh archaeological park and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Charge your camera gear and get ready for all the selfies you can take at the Laxmi Vilas Palace, a building that can certainly boast with its size and unique design. For those who wish to indulge in last-minute shopping, immerse in the culture of the city, or perhaps enjoy the cuisine, the city certainly offers all these possibilities. Vadodra - Delhi - Return Flight

Today we bid farewell to each other. With a load full of memories, we will take you to Vadodra Airport and fly to Delhi. Depending on the departure date, you may be able to fly home the same day or spend the night in Delhi. If you wish, we can book a hotel for you.
