Few countries in the world pack so much riding into such a small area. In a single day you can cross a 2260-metre Atlas pass, follow a dry riverbed through the Drâa Valley and park your bike inside a thousand-year-old medina in Marrakech. Tarmac that feels like the Alps, pistes that feel like Dakar, and dunes that feel like nowhere else — all within a week. At Overcross we have been running guided rides across this corner of North Africa since 1999. Our routes cover smooth mountain tarmac, rocky off-road tracks and the Sahara dunes near Merzouga and Erg Chegaga. We ride Paris-Dakar legs, climb the Tizi n'Tichka pass and cross Jebel Saghro on tracks most travellers never see. You can join us on a BMW GS for a road trip, on a KTM enduro for serious off-road, or on a Honda Africa Twin for the mix of both. Every route is planned, tested and ridden by our own team before a single client books a seat.
Our Morocco motorcycle trips cover a wide range of riding levels. The combo road tour through the Atlas and the Sahara suits riders with solid street experience and just a little gravel, while the enduro tours through the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas ask for real off-road skills: riding standing up, braking on loose ground and shifting your weight in sand. On one of our enduro routes around 60% of the distance runs away from the asphalt, on caravan tracks, scree and nomad paths.
You can bring your own bike or rent one of ours. For the enduro tours we provide a Yamaha Ténéré 700 or a comparable enduro from 700cc with full travel equipment, prepared and checked before you throw a leg over it. Riders bringing their own machine arrange transport with us or ride down themselves through Spain.
A typical day starts with a briefing on the route and conditions, then hours in the saddle before you reach your stop for the night. Depending on the tour you sleep in kasbahs and riads or camp under the stars in the desert, always with a support vehicle, technical assistance for breakdowns and an experienced guide riding with you. Groups run from 6 to 12 riders, and a second guide joins from eight participants so nobody rides at the back alone.
For the enduro tours through the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas you need real off-road skills: riding standing up, braking on loose ground and shifting your weight in the sand. The road and combo tours suit riders with solid street experience and just occasional gravel.
Yes, on most tours you can bring your own motorcycle or rent one of ours, usually a Yamaha Ténéré 700 or a comparable enduro from 700cc with full equipment.
