The Journey

Motorcycle trip through temples, jungle, and mountain roads

This journey begins in Phnom Penh, the vibrant capital at the confluence of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers. From here, we travel eastwards to the legendary river dolphins at Kratie – one of the last populations in Southeast Asia. Then we head into the highlands of the Bunong with coffee plantations and traditional villages, before setting off northwards to the temples of Angkor Wat.

  • English-speaking local guide on the motorcycle
  • Airport transfers (arrival and departure)
  • Entrance tickets for all tourist attractions in the program (temples, national parks, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of driving experience with gravel road experience. The long driving days and technical off-road sections require a secure grip and good brake modulation. Weighing between 800 and 1200 kg, high seat height ??? our bikes are extensively tested. Amulet and self-confidence recommended!
  • We ride modern enduros (Honda XR650, Yamaha WR250, KTM 500). Each bike is maintenance-ready equipped with GPS, spare parts, and safety protectors. The bikes will be discussed with you by your guide before departure; adjustments to seat height and throttle control are possible.
  • Good mid-range hotels, all with double rooms and private bathrooms. Air conditioning is standard, except in Veal Veng and Ban Lung (traditional but clean). Exploring the pleasure hotel as a group is part of the experience.
  • The insurance covers the entire 20-day tour. We strongly recommend additional daily accident insurance (approximately 20 EUR/day). Your insurance coverage depends on your own policy.
  • On some days you can ride in the support vehicle. A switch from the beginning is possible. However, a large part of the enjoyment is the riding itself ??? in the car you quickly enlarge the distance to your rider friends.
  • January is dry season, so daytime temperatures 25–35 °C, at night 15–20 °C in the highlands. Occasional rains are rare, but the off-road trails are slippery after rain. Waterproof luggage is essential.
