Your luxury train journey from Pretoria to Victoria Falls begins in the morning at the private Rovos Rail station in Pretoria. As soon as the train rolls in, lunch is served in the dining car while the scenery of the hot mineral springs of Bela-Bela and Nylstroom passes by. The Voortrekkers once called them the sources of the Nile. During dinner, the train crosses the Limpopo and reaches Beitbridge at the border with Zimbabwe – that greasy-green river from Rudyard Kipling's stories.
Baobab Country – Train journey to Zimbabwe

During breakfast in the dining car, the Rovos Rail crosses the Baobab Country, a region full of mighty baobab trees, which are considered the 'tree of life'. Hwange National Park – Safari drive
After breakfast, the train rolls along the eastern edge of Hwange Park on one of the longest straight railway lines in the world – 114 kilometers perfectly straight. At noon, the Hwange National Park safari takes place: On a game drive through the largest park in Zimbabwe, you will encounter lions, leopards, elephants, and buffalo. At dinner, the train continues to Thompson's Junction, where it makes a service stop.
Victoria Falls – Arrival & Photo Safari
On the last morning, you enjoy a delicious breakfast in the dining car before the train reaches Victoria Falls. Even from afar, you can hear the thundering and see the water cloud rising up to 400 meters. During a photo safari at Victoria Falls, you can feel the mist on your skin and follow in the footsteps of David Livingstone, the first European in this region. Boat trips and rafting complete the stay.
