Windhoek - Arrival and Introduction
Your Kaokoland Enduro Namibia trip begins in Windhoek. After the transfer from the airport to the guesthouse, you will meet your guide and the group. You will discuss the route, safety, and the technology of the enduro motorcycles. You have the rest of the day to acclimate to the climate and make final preparations before heading north the next morning.
Windhoek - Otjiwarongo Stage
On the first stage of your motorcycle journey Namibia Kaokoland, you leave Windhoek and ride north towards Otjiwarongo. The trail becomes increasingly rough and prepares you for the terrain of the coming days. Between vastness and bushland, you get used to the chassis and loading before you set up camp in the evening and enjoy the starry sky of Namibia.
Khowarib Gorge - Enduro Stage
Today it will be technical: The Enduro Kaokoland stage takes you into the Khowarib Gorge, where you follow a dry riverbed between steep rock walls. Sand, gravel, and narrow passages demand riding skill and concentration. In between, there is time for photos of the impressive landscape before you reach the day's destination and the bush kitchen prepares dinner.
Opuwo - Cultural Capital of Kaokoland
Opuwo is the heart of Kaokoland and a meeting point of the Himba and Herero. On this off-road Namibia Kaokoland stage, you reach the vibrant small town, stock up on supplies, and get to know the culture of the region. Conversations with locals provide insight into their way of life and traditions, before you venture deeper into the remote wilderness the next day.
Epupa Falls - Drive to Kunene
The Kaokoland motorcycle tour takes you north today to the border river Kunene and the Epupa Falls. The route runs over sandy tracks and through dry riverbeds lined with baobabs and palms. At the destination, the sound of the falls awaits you. After the challenging drive stage, there is time to relax in the cool water and let the day wind down.
Epupa Falls - Rest day at Kunene
A rest day at the Epupa Falls gives you the opportunity to catch your breath. You can swim, explore the surroundings on foot, or visit a nearby Himba village. For your Kaokoland Enduro Namibia trip, this day is also the chance to check the motorcycles and carry out minor maintenance with the mechanic before the technically challenging stages follow.

van Zyl's Pass - Challenge
Van Zyl's Pass is considered one of the most challenging passages in southern Africa and is a highlight of this Enduro trip Namibia Kaokoland. Steep, rocky descents demand precise line choice and experience. At the top, you are rewarded with a wide view of the Marien River Valley. The support vehicle secures the stage while you work your way down meter by meter.
Marienflusstal - Offroad through vastness
After the pass, the vast Marien River Valley opens up. On this motorcycle tour Kaokoland Namibia, you roll over fine sand between golden grass and the distinctive fairy circles. The ride is fast and smooth, but requires a feel for the soft ground. In the evening, the group sets up camp in the middle of the wilderness, far away from towns and artificial light.
Purros - On the Trail of the Desert Elephants
A wildlife adapted to the dryness lives around Purros. Otjiwarongo - Return journey to the south
The penultimate stage of your motorcycle journey through Namibia Kaokoland leads back south towards Otjiwarongo along better-developed tracks. The ride allows space to process the impressions of the past days. In the evening, the group reflects on the tour during a shared meal and celebrates the kilometers conquered through the Kaokoland.
Windhoek - Departure
On the last day of your Kaokoland Enduro Namibia trip, you will return to Windhoek. After returning the motorcycles, there will be time for a stroll through the capital or a last shared lunch, depending on your flight time. Afterwards, the transfer will take you to the airport, and your Enduro adventure through Kaokoland will end with many new impressions.
