Experience the Damaraland offroad! This motorcycle trip through Namibia is something special and is led by our enduro expert Dirk, who is equally appreciated by connoisseurs and experts in Europe, Namibia, and South Africa. He guides you not on the well-trodden paths of enduro mass tourism, but over untraveled bush trails, gravel roads, and dunes – enduro adventure off the beaten track. You will cover about 70% of the route without asphalt, with 2000 to 2500 km on gravel roads and dirt tracks just outside the city limits of Windhoek. Days 1–11
Windhoek - Transfer and start in Omaruru
We will pick you up at the airport or – if you are already acclimatized – at the hotel. There will be time for shopping or a late breakfast. To save you the journey over asphalt, gravel road, and fenced farmland, the bus will take you to Omaruru, where the motorcycles are waiting at the River Guesthouse. In Okahandja, we make a stop at the African woodcarving market. This is how your Damaraland motorcycle trip starts in a relaxed way. Accommodation and meals: guesthouse and dinner.
Omaruru - Offroad in the bush
After a short stage on the gravel road, we turn off for off-road fun on worn Jeep tracks. Dense bush, some sand, and rocky passages make the route varied - true enduro terrain. As we approach the dried-up riverbed, it's time to keep an eye out: Here we look for the first elephants. This is where your enduro really takes off in Damaraland. Accommodation: Camping or luxury tent, breakfast and dinner.
Damaraland - Drive into Nowhere
We continue northwest through a Mars-like, bizarre mountain landscape until we reach a dried-up river. Along the way, we stop at petrified trees that were once washed ashore here during a different climatic era. Upon arriving at the dry river, we look out for the legendary desert elephants. This off-road stage of your motorcycle trip through Namibia takes you deep into nowhere. Accommodation and meals: Camping or luxury tent, breakfast and dinner.
Twyfelfontein - Dunes and Water Crossings
Today we leave the luggage at the campsite and take a round trip. We refuel at a remote gas station. The route is extremely varied: First, you try your hand at a dune, then it's onto jeep tracks through rocky mountains, and some water crossings await you. We take our lunch break at a stone age cave. Dunes and rocks – pure Enduro in Damaraland. Accommodation and meals: camping or luxury tent, breakfast and dinner.
Brandberg - Rock engravings and off-road stage
We visit cultural and archaeological highlights. At the UNESCO World Heritage site of Twyfelfontein, you can see rock engravings that are up to six thousand years old and learn how the Damaras lived in the past. After lunch at the Twyfelfontein Lodge, an off-road stage follows up to Brandberg. At the foot of Namibia's highest mountain lies the White Lady Lodge. This Damaraland motorcycle trip combines riding fun with history. Accommodation and meals: camping, luxury tent or room, breakfast and dinner.
Uis - Through the desert landscape
This stage takes you along the dry river. Wind-eroded rock formations and a grand view over the river valley impress you along the way. We follow the jeep tracks through the Namibian desert landscape to the mining town of Uis. Gravel roads, sand, and rock – your enduro has plenty of work to do here. Accommodation and meals: rooms with breakfast, dinner at cost in the restaurant.

Today, the Namibian Matterhorn awaits you. From afar, the Spitzkoppe can already be seen, but until then, there is still a varied off-road route ahead of us. In the early afternoon, we will reach the massif and you will have time to explore the natural bridge and the distinctive rock formations. Another highlight of your motorcycle journey through Namibia. Accommodation and meals: Camping or luxury tent with breakfast and dinner.
Swakopmund - Desert meets Atlantic
The rugged Atlantic coast calls. On the off-road path, you cross the Namib Desert. In the small coastal town of Hentiesbay, we refuel and continue on to Swakopmund. The many good steak and fish restaurants invite you to dinner with fresh Atlantic air. Desert meets sea on your enduro tour through Namibia. Accommodation and meals: rooms with breakfast, dinner at self-cost in the restaurant.
Swakopmund - City and Dunes with the Quad
In the morning you have time to explore the German-influenced town and have breakfast in one of the many cafés. You can visit the museum or the crystal gallery or choose other activities. In the afternoon, you drive through the vast dune area of Swakopmund on the quad - even quad skeptics come back with a grin. A relaxed day on your Damaraland motorcycle trip. Windhoek - Return to the capital
Today we return to Windhoek. Since the route is a straight asphalt road, we load the motorcycles onto the trailer and take you comfortably to the capital. There will be time for shopping in the city. This is how the off-road part of your motorcycle trip through Namibia ends comfortably. Accommodation and meals: Room with breakfast, dinner at cost in the restaurant (Joes Beerhouse).
Windhoek - Farewell and Journey Home
Today is the time to say goodbye and start the journey home – or, for everyone who hasn't had enough yet, to start a connecting vacation. Cape Town, for example, is just a flight away.
