Introduction to the journey through Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe
The Delta in Nothing: A journey through Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe! From Etosha National Park, through the Okavango Delta along the Chobe Trails to the Victoria Falls! This safari expedition is an adventure trip on the African continent, away from the crowds and offers spectacular experiences! From the water world of the Okavango River Delta to the mighty Victoria Falls of the Zambezi, everything is included! And of course, we will also be able to marvel at many of the great animals, up close and from our overland trucks! For those who do not like camping, we are happy to offer comfortable accommodations along the safari route! This tour is also possible in the opposite direction, from the Victoria Falls to the Etosha National Park as a camping tour or lodge tour.
Daily program: Small Group Trip Delta & Chobe Trail - Lodge Safari
Day 1: Windhoek - Etosha
In the morning, you will travel with a representative of our local partner from Windhoek to Etosha National Park. During the 4 to 5 hour drive, you can relax and take in the diverse landscape of Namibia as it passes by. Upon arrival, the tour guide will introduce themselves and provide a briefing about your tour, the truck, and your fellow travelers. After lunch, the first game drive of the African journey begins in Etosha National Park. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Included Highlight: Game drive in Etosha
Day 2: Etosha - Divundu
We leave the breathtaking Etosha National Park, which has been in existence since 1907 in northern Namibia, and continue our journey towards the Okavango River. During the trip, we will stay overnight in Divundu, a town located in the Caprivi Strip and in a subtropical region. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 3: Divundu - Maun
In the morning after breakfast, a boat trip on the Okavango River takes place, showcasing its diverse fauna, a part of the unique and fragile ecosystem of the Okavango Delta. Following this, we cross the border into Botswana, where our next destination lies. The town of Maun is known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta and thus serves as the portal to the next highlight of the trip. The Okavango Delta, spanning 15,000 square kilometers, is the largest inland delta on Earth and is home to a wealth of wildlife and plants. In addition to spectacular safaris, the local villages offer an exciting insight into the way of life of the locals, making a visit to the Delta a unique experience. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Included Highlight: Boat trip on the Okavango River.
Day 4: Khwai Conservation Area
The day begins for early risers with the option of taking a flight over the Okavango Delta to marvel at the morning activities of the stunning and diverse wildlife from the air. Following this, we will be picked up in small safari vehicles for the Khwai Conservation Area. The Khwai Conservation Area is a region managed by the local community, covering an area of 2,000 square kilometers. During the drive, the guide will inform you about what to expect during the afternoon excursion. For the following 2 nights, you will be separated from your luggage. A small bag with essential clothing and important valuables and items should be packed. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Included Highlight: Drive through the Okavango Delta. Optional Highlight: Scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.
Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve
Today starts with a full-day game drive through the Moremi Game Reserve, which borders the Khwai Conservation Area. The Moremi Game Reserve is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, covering 5,000 square kilometers in the eastern part of the Okavango Delta. Here, there is a possibility to see the species that roam the plains. The drive will take place on bumpy roads in the wilderness with 4x4 vehicles. An astounding variety of local flora and fauna can be seen. After returning to Khwai in the evening, there will be an opportunity to process and share the indescribable experiences of this safari tour in southern Africa. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Included Highlight: Game drive in Moremi Game Reserve.
Day 6: Khwai - Nata
At dawn, the journey continues. First to Maun, from where we will proceed with the Nomad Truck. From Maun, the drive takes us through the Botswana salt pans, a picturesque landscape where encounters with wild animals may also occur. Upon arrival in Nata in the northeastern part of Botswana, there will be a guided tour to the Nata Pans, which are known as a breeding ground for many water birds and an important part of the ecosystem in northern Botswana. Here, you can observe pelicans and flamingos, as well as migratory birds. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Included Highlights: Drive through the Nata Pans.
Day 7: Nata - Chobe National Park
Today the journey continues to Kasane, where after lunch we will explore Chobe National Park by boat from the river. On the boat trip, many elephants can be observed as they gather by the river in the afternoon. Chobe National Park is one of the most famous national parks in southern Africa, established in 1968, and is known for its elephant population. Meals: Breakfast. Day 8: Victoria Falls
After numerous unforgettable safari experiences, today marks the crossing of the border into Zimbabwe. Upon arrival in the vibrant and culturally diverse city of Victoria Falls, there is an opportunity to explore the Victoria Falls as well as participate in one of the many optional adventure activities the city has to offer. The Victoria Falls are considered the largest waterfalls in the world. They are not only a natural wonder but also have cultural significance for the locals. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 9: Victoria Falls
After breakfast, the journey ends. Today there is one last opportunity to participate in the numerous activities. Meals: Breakfast.
