The Journey
The motorcycle trip Taurus Mountains takes you through the wild highlands of Turkey. You drive through deeply cut valleys with bizarre rock formations and canyons, crossing one river or another along the way. The ascent to a high plateau far above the tree line feels like another world. This still undiscovered enduro paradise features lonely, winding roads and less demanding nature paths – fun for all motorcyclists. After arriving in Antalya, your guide will be waiting for you at the airport. After a short transfer to the hotel, you will receive all the information about the tour and the itinerary. We load the luggage onto the motorcycles and off we go: We ride through small paths and roads to the village of Gebis near Antalya. After a break in a typical Turkish tea house, we take a winding on- and off-road serpentine road to Pinargözü at the foot of the 2,500 m high Kuyuca-dagi. At noon, we follow in the footsteps of the Apostle St. Paul in Yazili Canyon National Park, swimming in crystal-clear natural pools and enjoying freshly caught trout. Afterwards, the off-road route takes us along lonely mountain paths to Sütcüler.
After about three hours of flight, you land in Antalya, where your German-Turkish guide greets you directly at the airport. The transfer to the hotel takes only about 20 minutes. Over a leisurely dinner, you get to know the group, and we discuss the program of your motorcycle trip to the Taurus Mountains together. This way, you start relaxed and well-prepared into the upcoming enduro week.
With the minibus, you will travel from the hotel to the motorcycles. After a few formalities and loading the machines, your Enduro adventure in Turkey begins. On small roads, you reach the town of Gebis with its typical tea house. A winding route takes you to Pinargözü before the long gravel ascent to the 2,500 m high Kuyuca-dagi begins. In Yazili Canyon, you can swim in crystal clear water while fresh trout is prepared. Finally, you roll towards Sütcüler on lonely off-road paths. Distance: approx. 150 km, gravel section approx. 60 km.
After a hearty breakfast of local cuisine, you look out at the wild mountains of the Taurus Mountains. Desolate roads, some paved and some unpaved, take you up to about 1,400 m high. Along the way, you pass through villages where time seems to have stood still. A more challenging but doable off-road course rewards you with wide panoramas. After lunch with a farming family, you head down over the Dedegölü Mountains and through a lot of gravel to the winding coastal road. Distance: approx. 150 km, gravel portion approx. 60 km.
After breakfast on the terrace with a view of the lake and mountains, you walk to a unique wooden column mosque. Afterwards, you take to the wheels on a high plateau about 2,000 m high. On gravel and narrow asphalt roads, you roll through many small villages, where tea breaks often bring contact with the locals. Gradually, the landscape changes, and deep gorges characterize this stage of the motorcycle tour in the Taurus Mountains until the day's destination Ermenek. Distance: approx. 180 km, gravel portion approx. 80 km.

In the morning, the route takes you through countless curves along the mighty mountains. You will travel a section of one of the most important trade routes of antiquity: the Silk Road towards the Mediterranean. Here are some of the caravanserais left to nature, of which you visit the most beautiful ones. Then, it continues on gravel through pine and cedar forests to today's destination, the Köprülü Canyon National Park. This Offroad Turkey Taurus stage combines history and driving fun. Route: approx. 120 km, gravel portion approx. 60 km.
After breakfast at the turquoise-green Köprülücay River, you drive over an old Roman bridge with a magnificent view of the canyon.
