Los Angeles, CA

Today the journey to the Wild West begins! After you check in at the hotel, you will meet your tour guide and your travel group. A delicious dinner at one of our favorite spots and plenty of sleep should prepare you for tomorrow's trip.

Los Angeles - Palm Springs, CA

Los Angeles - Palm Springs, CA

After our joint breakfast at the hotel, the big moment comes: We will take you to the headquarters to pick up your machine. After a short introduction, we will head southwest and cruise on winding mountain roads towards Lake Elsinore. After lunch, we will breathe in the fresh air as we make our way upwards through mountainous roads in the San Bernardino National Forest. Our departure to Palm Springs is spectacular, and we will enjoy our first night among the palm trees and, upon arrival, experience the nightlife of the city.

Palm Springs, CA - Laughlin, NV

Palm Springs, CA - Laughlin, NV

Today we let ourselves be enchanted by the spectacular landscape and the fantastic rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park. From here we drive to Twenty Nine Palms and fall into the vastness of the Mojave Desert. After that, our journey gets a legendary incentive; we drive the historic 'Route 66', which starts at the famous Roy's Motel in Amboy. We will stay on Route 66 for the rest of the day as we cross the desert, pass the state border into Nevada, and arrive in Laughlin, where we will spend tonight.

Laughlin, NV - Grand Canyon, AZ

Laughlin, NV - Grand Canyon, AZ

We continue on the legendary Route 66 to Arizona, stop for wild animals in Oatman, and continue to Kingman, which is considered the 'heart of the historic Route 66' as it is located in the middle of the longest remaining section of the old mother road. From Kingman, we drive to Seligman, another remaining part of Route 66, which leads us into a circular route through the Hualapai Indian Reservation. After our lunch break in Seligman, the tour continues toward the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Get ready for one of the most breathtaking views in the canyon.

Grand Canyon, AZ - Monument Valley (Kayenta), AZ

Grand Canyon, AZ - Monument Valley (Kayenta), AZ

In the morning, we enjoy the fantastic view at the Grand Canyon before continuing along the South Rim and then leaving the Grand Canyon National Park at the East Entrance. The motorcycle trip takes us further to the incredible Monument Valley. The land of the Navajos, a classic landscape of the Wild West in Arizona with its red sandstone, a spectacle of color effects and geological formations that jut out from an seemingly endless expanse of quicksand. Only when we arrive at Monument Valley will we realize how much our perception of the Wild West has actually been shaped by this landscape. Such a landscape also exists in other parts of the world, but it seems that nowhere is it as unique as here. This evening we drive down into the valley and let our tour guide in Navajo pamper us with a traditional dinner.

Monument Valley (Kayenta), AZ - Bryce Canyon, UT

Monument Valley (Kayenta), AZ - Bryce Canyon, UT

From Kayenta, our tour today leads to the 'sleeping Mexican Hat', in short, a hectic gold mining camp named after a stone that looked like a sombrero. We drive through the 'Valley of the Gods', where scenes from 'Thelma and Louise' were filmed. We cross the 'Colorado River' at the point where it flows into Lake Powell. Lake Powell has a shoreline of more than 3150 km, more than the entire Pacific coast of the USA, considering the 96 water-filled canyons. We drive along the southern tip of Capitol Reef National Park, over peaks covered with aspens along the yellow-brown sandstones of the 'Devil’s Backbone', through the wilderness of Escalante, until we finally reach Bryce Canyon in Utah, where we will spend the night.

Bryce Canyon, UT - Las Vegas, NV

Bryce Canyon, UT - Las Vegas, NV

This morning we have time to visit the wonderful Bryce Canyon before we continue on to Zion National Park. Not only will we see the most beautiful rock formations in the world, but we also have a challenging drive ahead of us - the switchbacks of Zion! Compared to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, Zion radiates a stronger sense of nature. From here it is just a short drive to the neon and gaming paradise of Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV - Mammoth Lakes, CA

Las Vegas, NV - Mammoth Lakes, CA

Early in the morning we start our motorcycle tour from Las Vegas heading west and crossing the Death Valley, the hottest place on earth! There is almost no shade there. At the same time, the Death Valley is also a place of subtle beauty. The sunlit, golden shining sand dunes, the colorful wildflowers, and the surrounding mountains quickly immerse the visitor in a peculiar harmonious mood. After riding through all the curves and falling several meters below sea level, we find ourselves in the basin of the Death Valley. From here, we drive west on breathtaking roads that take us out of the valley and onto the foothills of the magnificent Sierra Nevada Mountains. From the lowest point in the United States, more than 30m below sea level, to the ski resort 'Mammoth Lakes' over 2130m high. What a day!

Mammoth Lakes, CA - Yosemite National Park, CA

Mammoth Lakes, CA - Yosemite National Park, CA

When we leave Mammoth Lakes, we travel a bit further north and then cross the Tioga Pass to reach Yosemite National Park. The first few kilometers demand all our muscle power and we should not take our eyes off the road as we drive through winding granite canyons into the breathtaking national park. Yosemite promises many pictures and raises expectations to dizzying heights. The national park is beautiful, grand, wild, and peaceful, and will bring fantastic memories. Tonight we will spend the night in El Portal.

Yosemite National Park, CA - San Francisco, CA

Yosemite National Park, CA - San Francisco, CA

Today we will leave Yosemite National Park again and drive through California's 'Gold Rush' country to San Francisco. We pass small mining towns, such as Groveland and the winding roads of Old Priest Grade. After that, we reach the coastal region of Marin County, which gives us a clear introduction to the Californian lifestyle. Striking luxury, ample natural beauty, with sunshine, sandy beaches, mountains, and redwood forests. Marin is often considered the wealthiest county in the USA. From here, we can already catch a first glimpse of San Francisco's most famous landmark, the Golden Gate Bridge. After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and driving along the marina, we have arrived at our home for the next two nights, at Fisherman’s Wharf.

San Francisco, CA

San Francisco, CA

The day is free to explore the beautiful city. San Francisco, a crazy, individualistic, surprisingly small place - definitely one of the most tolerant cities in the USA. San Francisco has a European flair and many attractions to offer. From excursions to Napa Valley, Alcatraz, city tours on the city bus, streetcar rides, bike tours, or just walking along the streets to explore the culture and perspectives that make this wonderful city, San Francisco has a lot to offer.

San Francisco, CA - Monterey, CA

San Francisco, CA - Monterey, CA

Today we leave San Francisco and head south on the legendary Pacific Coast Highway, Highway 1, which wraps around California's rugged coastline - one of the best motorcycle routes in the world. The coastal road is simply spectacular and we will often stop to capture the view photographically. Breathtaking views of the Pacific's undulations accompany us on the way to Monterey. Monterey is known for the motorcycle and car racing track Laguna Seca, as well as the impressive Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Monterey, CA - Pismo Beach, CA

Monterey, CA - Pismo Beach, CA

From Monterey, our motorcycle journey continues along Highway 1, on the edge of the Big Sur coast cliffs. 90 wild and untamed miles of rocky cliffs create an extraordinary landscape. It looks as if redwoods line the river gorges and as if the Santa Lucia Mountains rise out of the blue-green Pacific. About halfway along the Big Sur coast, you arrive at Esalen. Esalen is named after a Native American people who enjoyed a hot spring at the top of a cliff here. We pass by San Simeon, will stop there to see a sea elephant colony, and wind our way through Cambria and Morro Bay until we arrive in Pismo Beach.

Pismo Beach, CA - Los Angeles, CA

Pismo Beach, CA - Los Angeles, CA

Today we take Highway 101 and head towards Los Angeles, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the coastal mountains on the other. After a coffee break in Santa Barbara, we get back on the highway and cruise straight to Malibu, the famous beach settlement where many stars live. Santa Monica is the largest and oldest resort in Los Angeles - it used to be a wild playground by the beach, today it is an embarrassed, tolerant, and healthy community. Venice Beach is probably the reason why many people travel to Venice - nowhere else do people from LA strut as openly as on the path of the boardwalk in Venice. From here we drive to Hawthorne, where our headquarters are located. It’s time to return the motorcycles and head to the hotel. During a final communal dinner, we can reflect on the motorcycle trip once more.
