This adventure through the Western Alps is practically right at your doorstep. Action, pure nature, and real adventure await you on breathtaking mountain trails! On this one-week enduro trip, you can either arrive on your own motorcycle or experience the new Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally with high-quality Touratech equipment as a rental bike. You will discover old forts and enjoy unique views over the Alps. In the saddle of your T7, you will traverse impressive landscapes, nestled between rugged rock formations and wild valleys. Along the Italian-French border, we will cross the Alps on our enduros until the Mediterranean comes into view. Dream routes that every passionate off-road rider has heard of and that one simply must have ridden: Ligurian Border Ridge Road, Col de Parpaillon, Col de Sommeiller, Maira-Stura, Strada dei Cannoni - just a small selection of legendary names. But that's not all: On our off-road motorcycle trip, we also explore hidden trails and unknown insider tips that are at least just as spectacular - and often even more challenging - than the main routes. The initial asphalt quickly transforms into gravel, loose stones, and rough terrain. This variety is guaranteed to bring a dusty smile to every participant's face. We experience and learn something new every day - and the constantly changing conditions put our minds, bodies, and machines to the test. Technically demanding passages, lonely high mountain valleys, and endlessly winding mountain passes with epic views alternate. The overnight stays in the great outdoors make every adventurer's heart race. After a hearty breakfast in Demonte, an exciting day on the Maira-Stura Ridge Road begins. This masterfully gravelled route winds through breathtaking mountain landscapes and offers spectacular views. Enjoy the variety of riding techniques and the natural Alpine feeling. Stop in Marmora for a well-deserved break and possibly a small additional tour through the surrounding mountains in perfect conditions.
Italy
The Italian part of this Western Alps motorcycle tour starts in Piedmont around Turin. You will collect your first off-road kilometres on gravel roads and the highest drivable passes in the Alps.
Days 1-3

Susatal - Colombardo & Assietta Ridge Road
The first riding day of your Western Alps motorcycle tour begins with an off-road highlight: the Colle del Colombardo at 1,889m. This well-maintained gravel pass is ideal for warming up. We cruise through the Susatal to the Colle delle Finestre and continue onto the legendary Assietta Ridge Road, about 40km of off-road riding at around 2,000m with endless curves and stunning mountain views. We roll down to the Enduro Camp in Oulx, where a BBQ and campfire await you.
Bardonecchia - Col de Sommeiller Offroad
Today, a milestone of your motorcycle crossing of the Alps awaits: the Col de Sommeiller. At 2,995m, it is the highest point in the Alps that you can legally reach by motorcycle. The narrow, rocky gravel track winds spectacularly uphill, technically challenging but manageable. At the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent panorama. Since the Sommeiller is a dead end, you will return via the same route back to the valley and continue to the camp for a campfire and discussions about bikes.

Monte Jafferau - Military Forts & Distant Views
Today, you will tackle another off-road giant of the Western Alps: Monte Jafferau at 2,805m. Steep gravel ramps, rough stones, and wide views will make any Enduro enthusiast's heart race. Along the route, there are historical military forts that we will take a look at if time allows. At the top, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama. After the descent, a short on-road section takes us across the border to the French side before we roll back to camp, dusty and happy.

France
On the French side of this off-road motorcycle tour in the Alps, one of the most famous gravel passes in the region awaits. The route around Embrun takes you through high alpine landscapes before crossing back into Italy.
Day 4
Embrun - Col du Parpaillon Tunnel
Gravel, mud, and vast alpine landscapes: We leave Embrun and head towards the legendary Col du Parpaillon. The gravel pass takes you up to nearly 2,637m, where the notorious, over 500m long and unlit summit tunnel awaits, sometimes dry, sometimes full of puddles or ice. This thrill is what makes a motorcycle journey through the Western Alps so special. Afterwards, you will roll downhill and back over asphalt across the border into the Italian Stura Valley, where we will set up camp.
Italy
Back in Italy, this camping motorcycle tour in the Alps takes you along the most beautiful ridge roads of the Maritime Alps to the salt road high above the border, with views extending to the Mediterranean Sea.
Days 5-6
Demonte - Maira-Stura Ridge Road
After breakfast in the charming Demonte in the heart of Piedmont, you will start another off-road day of your Enduro tour in the Western Alps. From the Colle Valcavera, the gravel Maira-Stura Ridge Road winds along the ridge through wild mountain landscapes, one of the most beautiful off-road connections in the region. The route takes you to Marmora in the Maritime Alps. If time and stamina allow, there is an additional ride in the afternoon on narrow paths with spectacular viewpoints.
Alta Via del Sale - Border Route to the Sea
For the finale of this Western Alps motorcycle tour, we dive into the heart of the adventure: the legendary Alta Via del Sale, the old salt road. It winds along the Italian-French border through barren high mountain landscapes, narrow rock passages, and over dizzying ridges. About 60km of off-road riding with constantly changing views, just about 20km from the sea. In the evening, an Italian meal awaits you in an agriturismo in the Ligurian mountains and the last night in a tent.
