You will be picked up at the airport in Salta and taken to the hotel where the tour will start the next day. After a short introduction to the motorcycle tour and information about Salta, the rest of the day is at your disposal.

Quebrada de Cafayate Gorge

We leave the city of Salta heading south and follow the Lerma Valley until it abruptly narrows into a gorge: the Quebrada de Cafayate. This gorge impresses with its red sandstone formations, which have been weathered by wind and weather into bizarre shapes such as The Frog, The Obelisk, or Amphitheater. In Cafayate, the wine capital of Salta, we visit a traditional winery and spend the evening in the pleasant atmosphere of the cozy town.

Through the fertile plains of the Calchaquí valleys, it continues south to the Quilmes ruins, the remnants of one of the largest and most important settlements of the pre-Inca period in northern Argentina. Overnight stay in Belen.

Now back on the tar road, we quickly head south over Londres to Chilecito and Nanogasta, where we turn onto the gravel road that takes us over the colorful pass Cuesta de Miranda to Villa Union.

Continuing south on Route 40, we pass orchards and lakes, with the Diamante volcano in the distance. In San Rafael, we dive into the breathtaking Atuel Canyon and follow this canyon to the Nihuil Lake. We are now geographically in northern Patagonia. We continue over El Sosneado to Malargüe. Today we are venturing into the volcanic landscapes of Copahue, Caviahue. First, we cross the Neuquen River, then continue along its valley to the traditional village of El Huecú, before advancing into the volcanic mountain region of Caviahue. We will continue towards Villa Pehuenia, a village at the foot of snow-covered volcanic cones, located by sparkling lakes surrounded by Araucaria forests. We will spend the evening at the idyllic Lake Aluminé.
