Pick-up and return of the rental vehicle

The pick-up and return of the rental vehicle is usually done at OVERCROSS in Tübingen.

The exact date for pick-up and return will be coordinated individually with OVERCROSS before the trip begins. The vehicle handover only takes place after a prior appointment arrangement.

Delivery of the rental vehicle to the starting point of the trip

In exceptional cases and after prior agreement, the rental vehicle can be delivered to the starting point of the trip. This service is subject to availability, tour planning, and organizational options.

The delivery is not included in the standard rental price and will be charged separately.

Costs for delivery and return

For the delivery and return of the rental vehicle, we charge 1.00 € per kilometer.

The distance is calculated from OVERCROSS Tübingen to the desired starting point, as well as, if necessary, the return of the vehicle from the destination back to Tübingen.

Example:
If the vehicle is delivered from Tübingen to the starting point and returned to Tübingen after the trip, both routes will be charged separately.

The final costs will be confirmed before booking or before vehicle handover.

Return of the vehicle

The vehicle must be returned by the agreed return date. Late returns may incur additional costs, especially if they affect further bookings, tours, or organizational processes.

The vehicle must be returned in a tidy condition. Damages, heavy soiling, missing accessories, or unauthorized additional costs will be charged separately.

Vehicle handover and condition

At handover, the condition of the vehicle is to be documented together. This includes, among other things:

• Mileage
• Fuel level
• Condition of the vehicle inside and out
• Accessories and camping equipment
• Any pre-existing damage
• Return date and return location

The renter is obliged to handle the vehicle and the supplied equipment carefully.

Insurance and deductible

Optionally, a comprehensive insurance can be added for 25.00 € per day with a deductible of 2,000.00 €.

The insurance only applies within the framework of the agreed use and the contractually permitted travel countries and routes. Damages caused by gross negligence, unauthorized use, or improper handling may be excluded from coverage.

Deposit

A deposit of 4,000.00 € is required for the rental vehicle.

The deposit serves to secure potential damages, missing equipment, additional costs, or other claims arising from the rental relationship. The refund will occur after the proper return and inspection of the vehicle.
