Spain Travel and Vacation – Good to know

Spain is part of the Schengen countries, allowing citizens from many countries to enter without a visa for up to 90 days. However, check if your country is exempt. The Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) is the largest and best connected, followed by the Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). Both airports have national and international connections. From these airports, you can easily start your off-road journey in Spain with a rental car.
The local currency in Spain is the Euro (EUR). Credit cards are widely accepted, especially in urban areas. However, it is advisable to carry some cash, especially when driving in rural off-road areas, where small businesses may not accept card payments. ATMs are available everywhere.
Although no specific vaccinations are required for Spain, recommended vaccinations like tetanus and hepatitis A are advisable. A travel insurance is essential to cover unforeseen medical expenses. Research various insurance providers before you embark on your trip to travel safely.
