Arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima and hotel transfer to the Miraflores district.
Let's go in the capital of Peru, Lima, also known as the City of Kings. Here our first trip begins with a tour of the 10 million city, via San Christobal and the Plaza de Armas to the Presidential Palace. Lima is an important cultural center with numerous universities, museums, and architectural monuments. The old town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
Our first stage on the motorcycle leads along the Pan-American Highway south to Ica. After leaving Lima behind, we can enjoy the view of the Pacific coast. Endless sand dunes and green oases await us until we reach our daily goal after 300 km.
We continue on the famous Panamericana southwards. On both sides of the road are vast wine-growing regions. After about 150 km, we reach our day's destination, Nasca.
Today we have the opportunity to fly over the Nasca Lines in a small aircraft. This flight is not included in the travel price, but we strongly recommend booking it additionally. Only from above are the lines of Nasca with their motifs, a mosaic of gigantic, stylized drawings representing a monkey, a fish, a spider, a hummingbird, and numerous geometric shapes, clearly visible.
The Panamerican Highway continues to take us south. After 165 km, we reach the beautiful bay of Puerto Inka. This bay is also home to penguins, pelicans, and sea lions.
Today we will ride about 400 km on our motorcycles to Arequipa. The second largest city in Peru, located 1,000 km south of Lima, is also called the White City. This decorative nickname is due to the tuff, a white volcanic rock.
Today we visit the colonial monastery of Santa Catalina. It was built in the 16th century and is entirely in the South American Baroque style. The huge monastery complex is located right in the center of the city and is protected by high walls. It forms its own little town within the city, with its own system of streets. The monastery has only been accessible to the public since 1970. The afternoon is free for your own activities.
Today we will drive about 310 km to Puno, at Lake Titicaca. On this route, we go into the highlands, at over 4,000 meters above sea level. Here we will experience picture-book Peru: herds of vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas will cross our path. Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable body of water in the world.
On the lake, we will visit the famous floating gardens - the Uros Islands or Iles Flottantes! The indigenous people, the Urus, live here on almost fifty islands made of reeds in the lake and maintain a fascinating culture that we will take a closer look at. Originally, the Urus built these floating islands to protect themselves from hostile attackers. When an attack was imminent, they would loosen the islands from their anchors and retreat onto the lake. We will also visit Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca.
The next 386 km section of the journey on the saddles of our mopeds takes us to the navel of the world of the Inca Empire, to Cusco, which was once the capital of the Inca Empire. Cusco is located at 3,326 meters above sea level and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in South America!

To the famous ruined city of Machu Picchu, we first travel by bus to Ollantaytambo and then by train to Agua Calientes, a total of about 180 km. We stay overnight in a hotel in Agua Calientes.
It is worth that we already traveled to Agua Calientes yesterday. Today we are among the first groups to set off by bus to Machu Picchu. The Incas built the city in the 15th century at an altitude of 2,360 meters on a ridge between the peaks of Huayna Picchu and the mountain of the same name, Machu Picchu. The city could accommodate and supply up to 1,000 people at its peak. The official rediscovery of the city was in 1911. Machu Picchu became famous through the National Geographic Society, which dedicated its entire issue to the Andean city in 1913.
Today we are taking a trip with the motorcycles to the sacred valley of the Incas to the salt flats of Maras. A good lunch in Pisac is also on the agenda for today.
Today you have the day at your free disposal in the city of Cusco at the navel of the world. The city offers something for every taste. Many museums and churches are waiting to be discovered, and the restaurants around the plaza are very popular for taking a little time to linger and watch the hustle and bustle of the city.
We are heading towards Abancay today and will spend the night in Chalhuanca. The winding ride of about 310 km takes us on our motorcycles through a breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
We are returning from Abancay to Nasca - the king stage! We reach over 5,000 meters in altitude and cover height differences of almost 4,000 m in one day. The distance is about 380 km.
We continue north towards Paracas. The 220 km long stretch of the Pan-American Highway is lined with vineyards and cotton fields.
We visit the Ballestas Islands in Paracas National Park. The Islas Ballestas are also fondly called Little Galapagos. Sea lions, penguins, and many seabirds call this place home. We are already taking speedboats to the islands at 08:00.
We are driving back to Lima, 260 km. In the evening, we reflect together on the beautiful motorcycle tour.
The last day in Lima is free for your own activities!!
We say goodbye to each other. But Peru has only just begun to reveal its secrets. So we will definitely see each other again on the next adventure!
