This guided motorcycle tour through Peru takes you over the Andes passes to the World Heritage Site Machu Picchu, the most famous Inca ruin in South America, in 22 days. In the Sacred Valley, you will explore ancient cultural sites, then you will head off the tourist paths through Abancay, Andahuaylas, and Ayacucho back to the coast. Curves, elevation gains, and wide panoramas characterize each stage. In Paracas, the Ballestas Islands await with sea lions and penguins before you roll over the Panamerican Highway to Nazca and Lake Titicaca. Look forward to real South America feeling on two wheels!

Days 1–22
Arrival in Lima
After landing at Jorge Chávez Airport, we will take you directly to your hotel in the lively district of Miraflores. Time to arrive and catch your breath.
City tour in Lima
Today we discover Lima, the "City of Kings." In the UNESCO-protected old town, we see the Plaza de Armas with its colonial buildings and the Presidential Palace. (Entry fees payable on site.)
From Lima to Ica
Our first stage takes us along the Pan-American Highway about 300 kilometers to the south, along the Pacific coast with dunes and oases. The destination is the picturesque desert oasis Huacachina among palm trees and huge sand dunes.
Panamericana to Nazca
Further south on the Pan-American Highway, past endless vineyards. After about 150 kilometers, we reach the legendary city of Nazca.
By airplane over the Nazca Lines
Today the motorcycles take a break. Alternatively, you can fly in a small plane over the Nazca Lines and marvel at the huge geoglyphs of monkey, spider, and hummingbird from the air. (Flight not included in the price.)
Puerto Inka
After 165 kilometers, we reach the bay of Puerto Inka, where penguins, pelicans, and sea lions live in untouched nature.
Camaná
About 230 kilometers along the rugged coast to Camaná. The people here live from fishing and mining, in the fertile river valleys of the Andes there are small fields.
Colca Canyon
We leave the coast heading towards Colca Canyon: 90 kilometers of asphalt, then 210 kilometers off-road. The third-deepest canyon in the world is home to the Andean condor. Overnight stay in Chivay at 3,635 meters.
Lake Titicaca
Off to Puno at Lake Titicaca. We drive about 300 kilometers over the Pata Pampa Pass at 4,890 meters, 60 of which are on gravel. Along the way, we are greeted by vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas.
Uros Islands
We visit the floating reed islands of the Uros and the island of Taquile. Lake Titicaca is at 3,812 meters, is up to 281 meters deep, and is a true natural wonder. (Entrance fee payable on site.)
Cusco
380 kilometers to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital and the "navel of the world." The historic city at 3,326 meters is one of the most popular destinations in South America.

Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu
Finally heading to Machu Picchu! By bus to Ollantaytambo, then by train to Aguas Calientes, about 180 kilometers. The Incas built Machu Picchu in the 15th century at 2,360 meters. (Entry and hotel on-site payable.)
Machu Picchu
Early, we set off with the first group by bus to Machu Picchu. Our office in Cusco provides the exact schedule. Experience this wonder of the world as part of your motorcycle trip! (Optional activity, payable on-site.)
Salt Mines
Riding motorcycles through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the terraced salt mines, where salt has been harvested for centuries. Lunch in the colorful market town of Pisac with its well-preserved Inca ruins.
Cusco
Day off in Cusco. Explore museums and churches or relax with a coffee in the Plaza and watch the colorful hustle and bustle to your liking.
Abancay to Andahuaylas
Over Abancay to Andahuaylas at 2,900 meters in the valley of the Río Chumba. About 340 winding kilometers with constant ups and downs and changing climates.
Ayacucho
240 kilometers through the Andes to Ayacucho, also called Huamanga, at 2,760 meters. Away from the tourist trails, an authentic Peru awaits you here.
Pass Abra Apacheta – Pan-American Highway
Back from Ayacucho towards the coast. We cross the airy pass Abra Apacheta at 4,746 meters, then the road winds down to the Panamericana. After 360 kilometers, we reach Paracas.
Ballestas Islands
Today the Ballestas Islands, the "Little Galapagos," and the Paracas National Park are on the agenda. In the morning, we take a speedboat to see sea lions and penguins; in the afternoon, we explore the park by motorcycle. (Entrance fee payable on site.)
Back to Lima
About 230 kilometers back to Lima. In the evening, we review the journey together. Here ends our motorcycle tour.
