The motorcycle fleet YAMAHA Ténéré Rally is ready to depart, preparations for the next 5000 kilometers are being made at the camp before it's time to say: 'Gooo south' and drive left! The YAMAHA Ténéré Enduro Cross travels along the great (6000 kilometers long) African Rift Valley through a country with more than 50 different languages and dialects. The route runs along the famous Kenyan savannas on the edge of the 'heart chamber' of Africa with the typical clichéd postcard image of the low-hanging sun behind the acacias in the savanna. Kenya is one of the typical cheerful African countries with about 40 different ethnic groups and a diverse wildlife, such as the big five and large herds of wildebeests, Thomson's gazelles, zebras, and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti over 500 kilometers north into the Masai Mara and back south in spring. A real spectacle is the crossing of the Mara River, where crocodiles are already waiting for the big feast.

The Enduro travel group has now become a well-coordinated 'border team' and our border passers are always informed in advance by our online tour guide Jojo that we are coming. Via satellite monitoring, the online tour guide from OVERCROSS is always informed about our location and can virtually travel ahead of us and take on some important tasks of a guide. There are still infinitely hard-sounding African kilometers on laterite-like tracks with challenging sections past extinct volcanoes ahead of us. The tracks through Malawi go through tea plantations, mango 'forests', and banana plantations as far as the eye can see. The sun is low over Lake Malawi, where we set up our camp and sip down the long hard enduro day with a cold beer, take a plunge into the lake, and enjoy delicious crocodile while gazing at the fellow inhabitants by the lake.

Along the Lower Zambesi National Park, we create our own trail on the enduros along Lake Karibu. Depending on fitness and the timetable, we will have two sporty enduro travel days ahead of us until we arrive in Livingston at the Victoria Falls and probably take a rest day to enjoy the falls or take a helicopter flight over the Kololo (what the Mosi oa Tunya, meaning 'the smoke that thunders', is called) to the Victoria Falls. The sunrise sparkles in the thundering spray of the Victoria Falls, a last look at the 'spiritual child of Cecil Rhodes who completed the masterpiece Victoria Falls Bridge in 1905 after just 14 months.

Welcome to the last country of the TransAfrica motorcycle journey, welcome to Namibia the land of the San. About 10,000 kilometers ago we reached the northern hunting grounds of the SAN in Ethiopia, now we are in the 'heart' of the African indigenous people, in the heart of the country with the endless horizon, Namibia. Namibia is, after Mongolia, the country with the lowest population density in the world, with about 2.5 people per square kilometer compared to 231 people per square kilometer in Germany. On our last kilometers through Africa, we traverse the areas of Omaheke, Khomas, and Erongo, with a little luck we may stay overnight at the kraal of a San village. The expedition participants will enjoy one last time the 1,000,000 star outdoor hotel near the Namib Naukluft Park.
