  • OVERCROSS has been conducting tours in Tunisia since 2000, the first Family & Friends in Tunisia took place in 2005, and since 2010 (except for the Covid period) we have been in Tunisia every year to conduct our tours there. It may happen in some cases that not enough registrations come together for a tour, in which case the tour must be canceled at the latest four to six weeks before the start of the trip. Since it is important to us that your vacation is a complete success, we are always in regular contact with you in this regard. If a tour has to be canceled, you will of course be refunded the full price.
  • For an extra charge of about 400€ (including vehicle and cabin on the ferry) per ferry trip, we will book you a personalized ferry ticket for your desired time.
  • We have had children as young as 4-5 years old with us. You know your children best. Some are very travel-friendly, others less so. You know best. Basically, the adventurous spirit of the parents also rubs off on the children.
  • The best thing is to send us an email with the details of your vehicle. In principle, all-wheel drive is a must! A reduction gearbox and differential locks are, however, not a strict requirement for this tour.
  • That varies quite a bit, our youngest adventurers were 4-5 years old, the older ones are already in their teenage years. And then there are the big kids behind the wheel 😉
  • On the ferry, we are accommodated in cabins. We spend the first and last night in Tunisia in a hotel by the sea. During the tour, we will visit various campsites, where there are also sanitary facilities. We will also wild camp for a few nights in the desert.
  • The ferry costs about 1000.- euros for a TOYO LC with roof tent plus "height surcharge". The price includes people and a private cabin.
  • No, we do not want to offer any "bargain" deals! Customs/port fees/tolls in Tunisia/as well as dinner and breakfast are all included, so you only need money for the fuel of the off-road vehicle and its driver ;-)
  • Yes, you can. In this case, please let us know. Because you would then not be in the group rate.
  • No, the ferry to and from Tunisia is not included. You can book the ferry through us and benefit from our group discount (about 40%).
  • A single cabin on the ferry and a single room in the hotel for solo travelers, e.g., the driver in the off-road vehicle, is possible. But you have to let us know, as we need to book everything together.
  • The fuel consumption of diesel and petrol vehicles varies for off-road vehicles as much as engine size and terrain type. Count on 700-800 kilometers of road range, and you are on the right track ;-)
  • hahaha: The fine was not due to running out of fuel but because there is a guide requirement in the Sahara and from 2026 it will be penalized up to €1000. If a participant runs out of diesel in the desert, the guide always has enough in reserve.
