Northern Argentina in two weeks: A top-class enduro adventure from the subtropics through the desert to crystal-clear mountain lakes. The red-glowing canyons of Salta, the famous Calchaquí valleys, the mysterious ruins of Quilmes, the bizarre rock formations of Talampaya and Ischigualasto, the wine eldorado Mendoza, the beautiful Lake Laguna del Diamante, the monkey puzzle forests near Aluminé, down to the lake district around Bariloche – from the high desert of Argentina's Puna to northern Patagonia: we invite you to a South American motorcycle dream. Daily program: Motorcycle trip from Salta to Bariloche
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up at the airport in Salta and taken to the hotel from which the tour will start the next day. After a short introduction to the motorcycle tour and information about Salta, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2: Quebrada de Cafayate Gorge
We leave the city of Salta heading south and follow the Lerma Valley until it abruptly narrows into a gorge: the Quebrada de Cafayate. This gorge is distinguished by its red sandstone formations, which have weathered into bizarre shapes such as The Frog, The Obelisk, or Amphitheater. In Cafayate, the wine capital of Salta, we visit a traditional winery and spend the evening in the pleasant atmosphere of the cozy little town.
Day 3: Belen
Through the fertile plains of the Calchaquí Valleys, we continue south to the Quilmes ruins, the remains of one of the largest and most important settlements of pre-Inca times in northern Argentina. Overnight stay in Belen.
Day 4: Colorful Pass Cuesta de Miranda
Now back on paved roads, we head south quickly through Londres to Chilecito and Nanogasta, where we turn off onto the gravel road that leads us over the colorful Pass Cuesta de Miranda to Villa Union.
Day 5: San Agustin del Valle Fertil
Today we visit the National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site Talampaya, whose mighty canyon impresses with its fauna and flora, and the Ischigualasto Nature Park (Valley of the Moon), whose desert landscapes can be explored by motorcycle with peculiar rock formations. Overnight stay in San Agustin del Valle Fertil.
Day 6: Mendoza
First on a small paved road, we go past San Juan through wine-growing areas to Mendoza, the wine capital of Argentina.
Day 7: Rest day in Mendoza
Rest day for exploring the city and the wineries.

Day 8: Atuel Gorge - El Sosneado - Malargüe
Continuing on Ruta 40 southward, we pass orchards, lakes, with the Diamante volcano in the distance. In San Rafael, we dive into the breathtaking Atuel Gorge and follow this canyon to the Nihuil Lake. We are now geographically in Northern Patagonia. We continue via El Sosneado to Malargüe. Overnight stay in the pleasant town of Malargüe.
Day 9: Chos Malal
We continue through basalt desert landscapes to Neuquén for an overnight stay in Chos Malal, the oldest settlement in Neuquén.
Day 10: Volcanic Landscapes - Araucaria Forests - Idyllic Lakes
Today we venture into the volcanic landscapes of Copahue, Caviahue. First, we go over the Neuquen River, then along its valley to the traditional village of El Huecú, to then push into the volcanic mountain region of Caviahue. We continue towards Villa Pehuenia, a village at the foot of snow-covered volcanic cones, located by a glittering lake surrounded by Araucaria forests. We will spend the evening at the idyllic Aluminé Lake.
Day 11: Pehuenia Round Trip
On the Pehuenia round trip, we pass countless Araucarias, lakes, and rivers, ultimately following the Aluminé River to San Martín de los Andes, located on the shores of Lake Lacar.
Day 12: Bariloche
On this day, we enter the lake district of Northern Patagonia on the 7 Lakes Route, reaching Bariloche, the capital of the lake region located at the foot of Mount Catedral.
Day 13: Departure
Today you will be taken to the airport by us, where you will take away only impressive impressions, many good memories, and our farewell gift on your return flight.
