Check the visa requirements before traveling to Ukraine. Citizens of many countries, including the EU, do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days. For more information, visit the website of the Ukrainian embassy. If a visa is required, you can apply online or at your country's embassy. Visa on arrival is not available.
The Boryspil Airport (KBP) in Kiev is the largest and best-connected airport in Ukraine. Alternatively, you may consider Lviv Airport (LWO) or Odessa Airport (ODS), depending on where you want to travel with your motorcycle. These airports offer international flights and transport options to the city as well as to other destinations in the country.
The local currency in Ukraine is the Hryvnia (UAH). Credit cards are accepted in many cities, especially in hotels and restaurants, however, it is advisable to carry cash payments for smaller shops and in rural areas. ATMs are widespread, but make sure that your card works internationally. Exchange money only at trusted places.
Travel vaccinations are not mandatory but vaccinations against hepatitis A, typhoid, and tetanus are recommended. A travel insurance is highly advisable to cover medical costs and possible repatriations. In order to drive in Ukraine, you need a valid international driver's license along with your national driver's license. This is important to prevent legal issues on the road. For mobile communication, you can purchase a SIM card from providers like Kyivstar or Vodafone in supermarkets or stores. This allows for affordable local rates and data.
