Motorcycle trip through the south of Crete - Greece

After the handover of the motorcycles, we start our adventure along the dreamy southern coast of Crete. On well-maintained roads, we head towards the historic, ancient Minoan port town of Lentas. This charming place, surrounded by steep cliffs and crystal clear water, is the perfect entry into our journey. The first day is not only about getting to know each other better but also about experiencing the relaxed Greek way of life to the fullest. Let the atmosphere of the traditional fishing village enchant you, enjoy the fresh catch of the day in one of the local taverns and dive into authentic Crete. An ideal start for what is yet to come: breathtaking landscapes, winding roads, and unforgettable experiences await us!

Today, we head from Matala along winding mountain passes towards the northeast, into the imposing Dikti Mountains and onto the picturesque Lassithi Plateau. This fascinating part of Crete, famous for its traditional windmills, reveals the true fertility of the island. The landscape is characterized by green valleys, steep hills, and endless olive groves. But not only nature has left its mark here: The Lassithi Plateau is a historically rich site that can look back on thousands of years of history. On our journey, we dive into the past and have the opportunity to admire impressive remains of Minoan settlements. This region was once the center of ancient civilization and a significant trade and cultural center in the Mediterranean. Those who wander through the plateau can not only immerse themselves in Crete's fascinating history but also experience the diverse, unspoiled nature that the island has to offer.

We are in for an unforgettable day on the breathtaking southwestern coast of Crete! We start our motorcycle journey with a view of the fishing village of Agia Galini, which has retained its charming, unspoiled character. Next, we continue along the quiet, golden beaches of Agios Pavlos, surrounded by crystal clear water and a soothing atmosphere – the ideal place for a little break. But the true highlight awaits high above the coast: the historic Monastery of Prévelli, majestically perched on a rock and offering a spectacular view of the Libyan Sea. After a refreshing rest at the monastery, we continue our tour and reach the small coastal village of Plakias, which enchants with its unspoiled beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Our exploration leads us further to the Venetian castle of Frangokástello, which proudly overlooks the coast and is surrounded by fascinating legends. For those who still haven't had enough adventure, there is the option to continue along the coast and return through Chora Sfakion and the charming Rethymnon, before finally reaching the beautiful beaches of Matala. This stage is a true journey through history, nature, and breathtaking views.

After a final shared breakfast, during which we can reflect on all the breathtaking experiences, we will take you to the airport.
