Colombia Travel and Vacation – Good to know

German citizens do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days. For longer stays, an online application is necessary. The process is straightforward, and a tourist visa can also be applied for online, allowing for flexible planning.
El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá is the largest and best-connected airport in Colombia. Alternatively, Medellín and Cali also offer international flights. From these airports, many cities are easily accessible by motorcycle.
The local currency is the Colombian Peso (COP). Credit cards are accepted, but cash is often required, especially in rural areas. It is advisable to visit an ATM to withdraw cash to avoid high fees.
