Delhi - Leh - Flight & Arrival
In Leh you will be picked up at the airport and brought to a charming hotel at the foot of the Himalayas. After the long flight, you have time to relax and acclimatize – important for your Ladakh motorcycle trip. Leh is known for the impressive Leh Palace, built in the 17th century and once the royal palace. A perfect start for your enduro adventure in the Himalayas.
Leh - Acclimatization (70 km)
Today you explore the cultural and landscape diversity of Ladakh and visit remote valleys. The surroundings offer first motorcycle routes with panoramic views of the Stok-Kangri mountain range. Leh is also famous for the Hemis Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh, which was founded in 1630. Thus, your motorcycle adventure in Ladakh gets closer step by step. This stage covers around 70 km.
Leh - Chilling - Alchi (110 km)
Now it really begins: Your enduro motorcycle trip through Ladakh takes you to Hemis Supachen at over 3200 meters high and further through a barren, varied mountain landscape. You will spend the night in Alchi, a green oasis in the Indus Valley. Alchi is famous for its monastery, which is one of the oldest in Ladakh and is adorned with beautiful murals and Kashmiri influences. In the evening, you gather strength for the next day. About 110 km.
Alchi - Hemis Supachen - Alchi (110 km)
An exciting driving day awaits you. Early in the morning, you leave the oasis and start on a small road into the Kangra Valley and further into the Kullu Valley. After driving through the Rohtang Tunnel, you find yourself in the midst of the high mountains. This off-road motorcycle trip through Ladakh includes two overnight stays in Keylong for acclimatization at 3200 meters. About 110 km are on the schedule today.
6: Alchi - Khardung La - Nubra (150 km)
A spectacular section of your Khardung La motorbike tour, even though the Khardung La Pass is no longer the highest in the world. You ride into Nubra Valley, where a rest day or a small excursion to hidden villages awaits. This day also serves as a buffer for weather-related delays. Nubra is known for its sand dunes and the rare Bactrian camels. About 150 km lie ahead of you.
Nubra - Pangong Lake (140 km)
A real highlight for every motorcyclist: On this motorcycle trip through India's Himalayas, you will ride through the impressive Shyok Gorge to the turquoise Pangong Lake. The accommodation is very simple, but functional. You find yourself in a cultural landscape that reminds more of Tibet than of India. Pangong Lake became famous through the film '3 Idiots'. Today you will ride around 140 km.

Pangong - Hanle (140 km)
Today we are heading to Hanle, near the Tibetan border – your base for the Umling La Pass. This stage of your Ladakh motorcycle trip takes you through vast, lonely plateaus. Hanle is also famous for its observatory, one of the highest in the world, which offers excellent conditions for astronomy. About 140 km are on the agenda today before the big goal awaits the next day.
Hanle - Umling La - Hanle (110 km)
Today the highest drivable pass in the world is on the agenda. Riding a motorcycle over the Umling La Pass is still relatively unknown – it was only recently opened to the civilian population and demands a lot from both drivers and machines. For the overnight stay, it's back to Hanle. The Umling La reaches over 5800 meters and offers wide views – the driving highlight of this tour! About 110 km.
Hanle - Sakti (190 km)
Another exciting day of this Himalaya Enduro adventure awaits you – ideal for off-road fans. A mix of gravel and asphalt roads takes you to the Indus Valley. A highlight today is your beautiful hotel in Sakti. You follow an old trade route that was part of the historic Silk Road. Sakti is known for the Takthok Monastery, which is partially built into a rock wall. About 190 km.
Sakti - Rest day or Wari La
Today you have a choice: Relax in the beautiful hotel or, if you haven't had enough yet, conquer the Wari La Pass. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to Leh and explore the city on your own, buying a souvenir or two. Sakti is also known for its rich culture and hospitality. Little by little, you're winding down this motorcycle adventure in Ladakh before the return journey begins the next day.
Sakti - Leh - Delhi
Early in the morning you fly from Leh to Delhi, from where you will take your home flight. Your Himalayan motorcycle journey to Umling La is coming to an end, but the memories of the highest passes in the world remain. In Delhi, you have some time depending on your flight schedule before heading to Europe.
Delhi - Europe - Journey home
