A thrilling day of driving awaits you. Early in the morning, you leave the oasis and start on a small road into the Kangra Valley and further into the Kullu Valley. After driving through the Rohtang Tunnel, you find yourself in the midst of the high mountains. This off-road motorcycle trip through Ladakh includes two overnight stays in Keylong for acclimatization at 3200 meters. About 110 km are on today's agenda.
A spectacular section of your Khardung La motorcycle tour, even if the Khardung La Pass is no longer the highest in the world. You ride into the Nubra Valley, where a rest day or a small excursion to hidden villages awaits. This day also serves as a buffer for weather-related delays. Riding a motorcycle over the Umling La Pass is still quite unknown – it was only recently opened to the civilian population and demands a lot from both drivers and machines. For the overnight stay, we return to Hanle. The Umling La reaches over 5800 meters and offers wide views – the riding highlight of this tour! About 110 km.
Another exciting day of this Himalayan enduro adventure awaits you – ideal for off-road fans. A mix of gravel and asphalt roads takes you to the Indus Valley. A highlight today is your beautiful hotel in Sakti. You follow an ancient trade route that was part of the historical Silk Road. Sakti is known for the Takthok Monastery, which is partially built into a rock face. About 190 km.
Today you have the choice: Relax in the beautiful hotel or conquer the Wari La Pass if you haven't had enough yet. Alternatively, take a taxi to Leh and explore the city on your own and buy one or another souvenir. Sakti is also known for its rich culture and hospitality. Little by little, you are winding down this motorcycle adventure in Ladakh before the return journey begins the next day.
Early in the morning, you fly from Leh to Delhi, from where you will take your flight home. Your Himalayan motorcycle journey to Umling La is coming to an end, but the memories of the highest passes in the world remain. In Delhi, you still have some time depending on your flight schedule before heading to Europe.
