We personally welcome you at Heraklion airport and start the journey to our charming accommodation in Matala, a coastal village with history. During the drive, we enjoy the breathtaking views of the Cretan landscape and the fascinating coastal roads. After arrival, when everyone is relaxed and ready, we immerse ourselves in the Cretan lifestyle. The first evening is dedicated to Greek hospitality: In a traditional taverna, we end the day with delicious local specialties and a glass of Greek wine or rakí. The scent of fresh olive oil and grilled meat in the air, the gentle sea breeze, and the soothing sound of the waves create the perfect atmosphere to celebrate the beginning of our unforgettable journey. This evening is the perfect kickoff for a unique adventure where you won't just experience the beauty of Crete but also get to know the culture and warm charm of the island. Our exciting tours start daily between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. After picking up the rugged 4x4 off-road jeeps and a brief introduction to off-road techniques, we prepare for the first big adventure. With adrenaline pumping through our veins, we head south, past picturesque mountain landscapes and through enchanted valleys waiting to be discovered. Our journey takes us to the imposing Metéora Monastery, which towers high above the coast, captivating us with its history and unique views. The route mostly follows narrow, dusty gravel roads that wind through the Cretan wilderness. As we drive through this untouched nature, we are accompanied by the breathtaking panorama of the coast, repeatedly reflected in views of the deep blue sea and the rugged cliffs. Along the way, small, hidden coves invite us to swim in crystal-clear water – a true insider tip for those looking to escape the tourist crowds. Here, you can enjoy paradise in absolute tranquility and let yourself be enchanted by the rough beauty of Crete.

Through stunning coastal sections, we leave Matala heading southeast of Crete. A dreamlike coastal panorama awaits you, and we also have the opportunity to cool down and relax at a secluded cove during the midday heat. In one of the cozy kafenias (traditional Greek cafés), we can enjoy the unique atmosphere over a typical mountain tea. In the evening, we return back to Matala. Today, we travel along beautiful coastal sections that wind picturesque along the azure sea. The drive will continually enchant you with breathtaking views of the rugged coastal landscapes and the deep blue sea. Along the way, we have the opportunity to pause at a remote, secluded cove – here you can dive into the crystal-clear waters, cool off, and completely unwind amidst untouched nature. The peace and beauty of these hidden places make them an insider tip for anyone wanting to truly experience Crete. In one of the traditional kafenias, the cozy Greek coffeehouse, we take a break to enjoy a freshly brewed mountain tea. Surrounded by the unmistakable atmosphere of a Cretan village, we let time flow by at a relaxed pace – the perfect place to unwind and experience the unique hospitality of the locals. In the evening, we return to Matala, where the day ends in a relaxed gathering over a cool drink, reminiscing about the experiences of the trip.

Today our journey takes us through the charming mountain villages of Crete, where time seems to stand still. We dive deep into authentic Cretan life, far from the hustle and bustle, letting the calm atmosphere of the remote villages enchant us. On our way, we stop at the typical, rustic kafenions – the traditional taverns that radiate the heart of Cretan hospitality. Here we will not only experience the indescribable hospitality of the locals but also enjoy the famous mountain tea known for its calming and healing properties. The simple yet warm kafenions provide the perfect spot to relax, savor the moment, and immerse ourselves in Cretan culture. The mountainous landscape surrounding us offers unforgettable views ranging from green hills to rugged cliffs to spectacular valleys. The scent of fresh herbs and the chirping of cicadas accompany us on this special leg of our journey.

Today our journey takes us along the south coast of Crete, where stunning views and charming villages await. On the unpaved gravel roads, we drive through fishing villages that maintain their authentic charm and experience true life away from the tourist crowds. Our route ultimately brings us to the enchanting terraced town of Agia Galini, which mesmerizes with its white houses and views of the deep blue sea. At lunchtime, we stop in the harbor village of Malia at the legendary Mama Eva’s Taverna, known for its warm hospitality and delicious Cretan cuisine. Here we enjoy traditionally prepared dishes made with fresh, local ingredients directly from the surrounding area. The atmosphere is just as warm and inviting as the food itself. After lunch, we continue to another beautiful cove, which remains undiscovered by most tourists. Here we can swim in crystal-clear water, relax, and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this hidden oasis.

We are again mostly rolling over gravel across the spectacular Messara plain. Along the way, we pass charming villages, where the unmistakable Greek coffee is served – just what you need to recharge for the challenging, winding road that takes us steeply downhill from Messara to the coast. The driving wind blows through the landscape as we delight in the views of the turquoise sea and untouched nature. Pure adventure awaits, with each curve offering a new highlight!

This day is all about freedom! You can spend your time as you wish – whether shopping in the lively streets, enjoying traditional delicacies in cozy taverns, or having a few refreshing beers with friendly locals. If you’re feeling more adventurous, depending on the weather and availability, an unforgettable boat tour along the picturesque coast is an option. Glide over the crystal-clear water and discover hidden coves and breathtaking views. The next day, it will be time to say goodbye as you are comfortably taken to the airport – with unforgettable memories in your luggage.

After one last relaxed breakfast, which may again let the flavors of the island linger on your tongue, we take you to the airport.
