The Journey

Travel enduro training for large motorcycles

Your motorcycle is larger and heavier than the small, light enduros? However, you don't have to fear loose terrain. In this off-road training for motorcycle riders, we will show you over two training days how to maneuver your heavy bike safely through the terrain. We have developed the Heavyweight Special specifically for large travel enduros: You will learn the appropriate travel enduro riding technique and master GS, Adventure, and Co. on loose terrain. The motorcycle off-road training takes place without luggage and cases, so you can fully concentrate on the exercises. The training takes place in Hof in the Westerwald, and a rental motorcycle is available upon request.

Farm in the Westerwald - Basics of Off-Road Driving Techniques

The first training day starts with an introduction to the basics of travel enduro riding technique. You will learn the correct standing position, the appropriate way to look, and how to sensitively manage the clutch and gas on loose surfaces. At a calm pace, you will practice starting, braking, and slow maneuvering with your beast, so you get a feel for the weight of your GS or Adventure. The trainers will give you direct feedback and adjust the exercises to your skill level.

Courtyard in the Westerwald - In-depth exploration in the terrain

On the second day, you deepen what you've learned and venture into more challenging terrain. You practice riding uphill and downhill, overcoming roots and steps, as well as tight bends on mud and loose soil. Step by step, you gain confidence in handling your heavy adventure bike and learn how to properly lift the motorcycle after a fall. To conclude, you ride longer passages in one go and combine all the techniques from the off-road training.

  • Catering along the route
  • Yes, you are welcome to bring your own motorcycle. It should be street-legal and suitable for off-road use. A good enduro tire is recommended.
  • The Enduro beginner training is aimed at beginners. You do not need any prior knowledge: around 70% of the participants have never been off-road before.
  • The groups consist of 2 to 6 participants, so our trainers can provide individual support.
  • Yes, the training takes place regardless of the weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for all eventualities.
  • For off-road, you mainly need sturdy motocross or enduro boots. A protective vest as well as knee and shin guards keep the protectors in place during contact with the ground. A breathable riding shirt and motocross pants prevent overheating. Additional protectors in the jacket are not necessary, as you are already wearing them directly on your body.
  • There are hotels nearby as well as a partner hotel of ours, where you can even get a discount ;)
  • We ride on private terrain, where you will learn to control your motorcycle without harming the environment. It's a mix of mud, loose soil, and more!
