A trip for experienced enduro riders who want to dive into the fascinating desert landscape of Tunisia and are looking for a new challenge. This enduro tour is a unique experience for sand lovers and anyone who wants to experience the Sahara up close on two wheels! What are you waiting for? Come with the OVERCROSS team of experts into the Sahara Desert!
Introduction to the Sahara Adventure Trip for Endurists
The Sahara is the largest desert with nine million square kilometers, a seemingly hostile and equally fascinating space. With this Sahara adventure for single-cylinder enthusiasts, you have the chance to experience the desert adventure with a group of like-minded people and to experience motorcycling in the Sahara par excellence. A week is certainly too short for the desert, but it is definitely a good introduction to the adventure of Africa, which is NOT suitable for enduro beginners! Those with no experience in off-road enduro should definitely first book the two-week adventure trip to Tunisia with corresponding enduro and sand training.
Since 1999, OVERCROSS® travel organizer has stood for excellently organized and professionally guided motorcycle tours in Tunisia. Today, OVERCROSS® is the specialist for challenging enduro tours in North Africa. IMPORTANT: This trip is an adventure tour, where we want to provide a proper portion of adventure in addition to enduro training, so we kindly ask for understanding in advance that we will shape the tour guide interactively depending on the group dynamics and NOT according to "schedule" ;-)

Daily program: Motorcycle travel through Tunisia: Sportenduro adventure
Day 1: Flight from Europe to Tunisia:
As soon as you arrive at the airport, the fun is over! Here the adventure begins! We will pick you up with the donkey cart (or with the support vehicle ;-) ) from the airport and you will ride in the back to your motorcycle, which we have previously transported to Tunisia. We drive to your motorcycle and after a cup of tea and a delicious dinner, it's off to the sleeping bag in the 1000-star hotel under the open sky, between cow, dog, and wolf.
Day 2: Gravel Road and On-road Stage:
On the first long stage, we travel over the Dahr Mountains to the edge of the Sahara. 1000 meters above Chott el Djerid, we set up camp for the night in a cave. A cup of tea and soup over an open fire. Luxury? ... Not a chance! We are on the edge of the desert at the filming location of the movie "The English Patient" - there is nothing here: Except a fantastic nature!
Day 3: On the Enduros towards the desert.
Via the Rommel piste, we reach an outcrop of the Chott el Djerid salt lake with the enduros. It gets hot and exciting at Han Solo's landing station. Behind the scenes of "Star Wars," the sun shimmers. We start with sand driving training. In flat terrain, we familiarize ourselves with the basics of sand driving: proper acceleration, shifting, and braking.
Day 4: Enduro - Training day in the desert.
The correct steering, accelerating, drifting, and the feeling for power as well as one's own shortcomings is just as important a learning factor as reprogramming habits. Line of sight and posture are the essential points on today's day of fears. The focus on the line at 70%, the agility on the motorcycle, and steering with throttle input is taught and experienced today in the fundamentals. It goes uphill: The first dunes are 30 centimeters high, the last 30 meters!
Day 5: Your footprints in the sand.....
Enduro romance is when you blast through an endlessly seeming salt lake like a madman in scorching heat. Before the trip, you were reasonable and wouldn't have driven here at over 30 km/h, let alone standing. Keeping the throttle steady and correctly shifting your balance is today's exercise and at the same time the daily stage. We cover the last few kilometers before the camp in civilization on the road.
Day 6: Rock & Roll over the dunes of the Sahara
Rüdi, also called "no fence" on a later tour, can tell many and long stories about this day, in which almost all participants will reach their personal limits.... It goes through the large dune field on tracks, along trails across the Tunisian Sahara. The bath in the oasis is the ideal place to end the day and relax the muscles a bit.
Day 7: The Enduro Day:
We drive over sand fields, trails, and roads through the Dahar Mountains from the early morning hours until sunset back to civilization at the hotel by the sea. The last evening will traditionally wash down the desert dust at the bar and celebrate!
Day 8: Last day of vacation & return flight
We load the motorcycles back onto the trailer and the guide sets off for home. Here, our paths temporarily separate. We will see each other again a few thousand kilometers away next weekend at OVERCROSS in Germany, where you will get the motorcycles back. Individual return flights for all participants. A final glance at Tunisia before the plane leaves the African continent behind. Now, everyone has a few hours to reflect on their experiences.
