To drive a car or motorbike in Thailand, you need an international driver's license that is valid for the duration of your stay. SIM cards are easy to obtain; providers like DTAC or AIS have sales points at the airport and in stores. A cheap prepaid card offers internet and local calls, ideal for off-road trips.
