The Journey
8 days of pure adrenaline in the breathtaking landscapes of the Tian Shan mountains.
This survival and overlanding tour takes you deep into the wild nature of Kyrgyzstan.
You will experience the authentic way of life of the Kyrgyz nomads and spend the night in traditional Yurts, where you can feel the nomadic spirit up close. Look forward to typical specialties like Beshbarmak and Manti, along with hot tea, local music, and traditional folklore.
Meeting in Bishkek, the vibrant capital of Kyrgyzstan. The city is known for its green parks, wide streets, and impressive marble buildings. Soviet architecture meets here with residential blocks and lovingly built private houses.
The chessboard-like street grid with small irrigation channels provides plenty of greenery and pleasant shade – perfect to relax into the 4x4 off-road adventure in Kyrgyzstan.
Today the real 4x4 offroad adventure begins. We leave Bishkek and initially drive on asphalt before we switch to remote offroad tracks. The landscape becomes wilder, the mountains come closer and give a first taste of overlanding in Kyrgyzstan.
At 10:00 AM we start on rocky trails towards Moldo-Ashuu Pass (3,346 m). After crossing the pass, we go steeply down through canyons with rushing rivers. Further through the semi-desert, we reach another pass (3,165 m) and finally Tasch-Rabat, an old inn from the 12th century on the Silk Road.
Accommodation optionally in traditional yurts with dinner and sauna or while camping in the middle of the impressive mountains.
At 9:00 AM we set off for the Issyk-Kul Lake. The route leads through spectacular canyons and alpine expanses over 3,000 m. First, we drive on asphalt, then on off-road tracks with stones and rocks, surrounded by mountains whose peaks seem to touch the sky.
In good weather, we take the off-road route over the Tosor Pass (about 4,000 m) and descend into a dreamlike valley towards Issyk-Kul. Overnight stay is at camping in nature.

Everywhere, there are abandoned houses, a school, a hospital, and even an old airstrip to discover.
We continue towards the impressive peaks of Khan Tengri (7,010 m) and Pobeda (7,439 m) on the border with China, with spectacular views. Overnight stay in the hotel in Karakol.
At 9:00 a.m. we start and initially drive on asphalt before the road transitions to an off-road track to the Arabel Plateau. We cross the famous "Golden Road" and reach the highest point of the tour: a pass at 4,028 m in the Terskey Alatau mountains – the third highest pass in Kyrgyzstan and the highest not on the border.
After extensive exploration of the area, we return via the same route through impressive valleys back to Bishkek. Overnight stay in the hotel.
