MOTORCYCLE-TOURS · SPAIN
Eight days of sun, gravel, and freedom await you far from the gray winter. This enduro tour through Andalusia takes you into one of Europe’s best off-road regions. Expect endless coastal slopes, white mountain villages, wild tracks, and the dry peaks between Málaga, Granada, and the Alpujarras.
The Journey
Andalusia is the south that enduro riders dream of in winter. Dry slopes, rugged ranges, endless gravel paths, and mild temps that often top 18 degrees even in January. Your off-road winter escape starts right here: an 8-day enduro tour built for beginners and advanced riders alike.
From the sun-soaked coast of La Herradura, you ride deep into the mountain world between Málaga, Granada, and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Every day brings new terrain that is varied, warm, and real.
Before the trails begin, you get a half-day off-road basic training. It gives you control and sharpens your technique from day one. After that, 70 to 80 percent off-road share awaits. Hidden paths, white villages, lonely mountain roads, and terrain that changes with every stage. And when you need a break, the beach is just two minutes away.
• 8-day enduro tour with five guided daily stages through Andalusia’s mountain world
• 70–80% off-road share: gravel, rocks, single trails, mountain paths & natural paths
• Routes between coast & mountains: La Herradura, Almuńécar, Alpujarras, Sierra de Almijara
• Pleasant winter climate: approx. 17–20 °C in February, approx. 5–7 hours of sunshine daily, very little rain
• Ideal for beginners & advanced riders thanks to off-road basic training on the first riding day
• Daily riding times: approx. 4–6 hours, with breaks in mountain villages away from tourist routes
• Terrain diversity: coastal slopes, pine forests, slate sections, dry riverbeds, altitudes up to 1,500 m
• Beach hotel: a few steps to the sea, ideal for relaxing after the ride
• Own enduro or rental motorcycle (light Honda enduros, just over 100 kg, low seat height & electric start)
• Flexible route choice: technical sections can be bypassed. Your pace decides
• Travel partners welcome: hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, diving & city excursions available
• German-speaking guide, 25 years of Overcross experience, full organization & technical support
• Easy access: direct flight to Málaga, only about 1 hour transfer to La Herradura (bus approx. 6 €)
Your journey begins in the small coastal town of La Herradura, just 60 km east of Málaga and 80 km south of Granada. The region counts among the driest and sunniest areas in Europe. These are ideal conditions for an enduro tour in winter.
You can arrive on your own motorcycle or fly into Málaga airport. The bus to La Herradura costs around 6 euros and runs directly to the town center. After checking in at the hotel, just a short walk from the beach, we wind down together and prepare for the off-road stages ahead.
The morning kicks off with a half-day offroad training session. You practice balance, braking on loose surfaces, standing cornering technique, and riding behavior on gravel and slate terrain. Experienced riders receive technical tips for more demanding maneuvers.
After a relaxed lunch on the beach, we head into the backcountry of the Sierra Almijara. First mountain tracks, gravel paths, and nature trails provide the perfect chance to apply what you learned and find your riding rhythm.
We venture deep into the Andalusian mountain landscape. Pine forests, rock steps, steep ascents and descents, and long gravel passages define the region between Almuńécar and the Alpujarras.
The daily stage takes us through white mountain villages far from mass tourism, where we stop for a local lunch. Depending on the group and conditions, we ride 4 to 6 hours off-road and discover panoramic routes with views of the sea and mountains.
Today is yours to decide. Relax at the beach. Stroll through La Herradura at a leisurely pace. Take a day trip to Nerja, Málaga, or Granada. Or ride another round if you still have energy.
The rest day is planned to let your body and concentration recover before the longer off-road stages that follow. It is also an ideal opportunity for accompanying persons to explore the region independently.
Questions about the tour itinerary?
Our tour guide is happy to answer any questions about the day-by-day route, stops, and details.
Back on the motorcycles, the route crosses varied off-road terrain. Dry riverbeds, gravel passes, short technical single sections, and flowing forest trails shape the day. Difficult spots are always bypassable, so you can choose your own pace.
The mix of sea views, mountain landscape, and rugged terrain makes this one of the most diverse stages of the tour.
We reach altitudes between 1,000 and 1,500 meters today, depending on weather and group readiness. The trails are dry, dusty, and winding, typical for the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
We break for lunch in a remote mountain village before the route leads back toward the coast over wide gravel tracks and slate slopes.
A final off-road stage awaits you through the mountains above La Herradura and Almuńécar. Flowing trails, open gravel routes, and panoramic ridge paths with sea views capture the highlights of the entire week.
In the evening, we celebrate together at the end of a tour that perfectly combines sunshine, riding freedom, and the Andalusian mountain world.
After breakfast, you begin your journey home or extend your stay to enjoy a few more warm days in the south. You can easily return to Málaga by bus.
