The Journey

Travel enduro training for large motorcycles

Your motorcycle is bigger and heavier than the small, lightweight enduros? You still don't have to be afraid of loose terrain. In this off-road training for motorcycle riders, we will show you over two training days how to maneuver your heavy bike safely through the terrain. Specifically for large touring enduros, we have developed the heavy bike special: you will learn the appropriate touring enduro riding technique and master GS, Adventure, and others on loose terrain. The motorcycle off-road training runs without luggage and cases, so you can fully concentrate on the exercises. The training takes place in Hof in the Westerwald, and a rental motorcycle is available upon request.

Ausrüstung für Dickschiff Einsteigertraining in Deutschland

Courtyard in the Westerwald - Basics of Off-Road Driving Technique

The first training day starts with an introduction to the basics of travel enduro riding technique. You will learn the correct sitting position while standing, how to use your gaze, and how to finely control the clutch and throttle on loose terrain. At a steady pace, you will practice starting, braking, and slow maneuvering with your big bike, so you can get a feel for the weight of your GS or Adventure. The trainers provide you with direct feedback and adjust the exercises to your skill level.

Court in the Westerwald - In-depth in the terrain

On the second day, you deepen what you have learned and venture onto more challenging terrain. You practice riding uphill and downhill, overcoming roots and ledges, as well as tight turns on mud and loose soil. Step by step, you gain confidence in handling your heavy adventure bike and learn how to properly lift the motorcycle after a fall. To conclude, you ride longer passages continuously and apply all the techniques from the off-road training together.

  • Use of the training area
  • Supervision by experienced trainers
  • Catering along the route
  • Yes, you are welcome to bring your own motorcycle. It should be street-legal and suitable for off-road use. A good enduro tire is recommended.
  • The Enduro beginner training is aimed at beginners. No prior knowledge is required: about 70% of the participants have never been off-road before.
  • The groups consist of 2 to 6 participants so that our trainers can provide you with individual support.
  • Yes, the training takes place regardless of the weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for all eventualities.
  • For off-road, you mainly need sturdy motocross or enduro boots. A protective vest as well as knee and shin guards that strap on keep the protectors in place during ground contact. A lightweight riding shirt and motocross pants prevent overheating. Additional protectors in the jacket are not necessary, as you are already wearing them directly on your body.
  • There are hotels nearby as well as a partner hotel of ours, where you can even get a discount ;)
  • We ride on private terrain where you can learn to control your motorcycle without harming the environment. It's a mix of mud, loose soil, and more!
