Montenegro does not require a visa for citizens of many countries for stays of up to 90 days. If you wish to stay longer, you should submit a visa application. Check the exact requirements before your trip to ensure you have all the necessary documents, especially during the high season, when checks may be stricter.
Tivat Airport (TIV) is the best airport for traveling to Montenegro, as it accommodates the most international flights. Alternatively, you can also fly to Podgorica (TGD). Both airports offer good connections to the main tourist destinations. Remember to book a transfer in advance to save time and avoid stress upon arrival.
The local currency in Montenegro is the Euro. Credit cards are accepted in most restaurants, shops, and hotels, but it is advisable to have some cash for small purchases or in rural areas. ATMs are widely available, but check your bank's fees before withdrawing. Small amounts are often easier with cash.
