Yes, you need a visa to enter Cameroon. Tourist visas can be applied for at the Cameroonian embassy or online. The Douala Airport (DLA) is the largest and best-connected airport in Cameroon. From here, there are many international flights. The Yaoundé Airport (NSI) is another option if you are traveling to the capital. Plan transfers in advance, as transportation options from the airport to the city can vary.
The local currency is the CFA Franc BEAC. Credit cards are accepted in larger cities and hotels, but cash is often preferred. It is advisable to always have some cash on hand, especially in rural areas. ATMs are available in cities, but you should bring enough cash with you before your trip.
