Argentina Travel and Vacation – Good to know

Argentina does not require a visa for most tourists from Europe and the USA for stays of up to 90 days. Check the requirements for your country. You can apply for an e-visa if necessary. Get informed in advance to avoid unexpected issues.
The International Airport Ezeiza (AEP) near Buenos Aires is the largest and best-connected airport in Argentina. From here you have numerous connections to other cities and attractions. Look for flights to regional airports for quicker travel within the country.
The local currency is the Argentine Peso (ARS). Cash is still very important in many regions, especially in rural areas. Credit cards are accepted in big cities and stores, but it's worth bringing cash for smaller expenses or markets. Use ATMs in the cities for better exchange rates.
A travel insurance is not legally required, but highly recommended. Vaccinations are usually not necessary for entry, although some travelers do get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and Typhoid. Check your vaccination status and consult a doctor before traveling.
In Argentina, there are several providers like Claro, Personal, and Movistar. SIM cards are available at airports, stores, and supermarkets. Bring your passport to identify yourself. Choose a plan that covers both data volume and calls. This way you stay connected and well-informed during your trip.
