Introduction to the motorcycle tour through Turkey
The motorcycle tour leads through the wild Taurus Mountains, the Swabian Jura of Turkey (as we Swabians would say). We traverse deeply cut valleys with bizarre rock formations and gorges, where we will also cross one or two riverbeds. The entrance to a high plateau, far above the tree line, gives the feeling of being in another world. Lonely, winding roads or less demanding natural paths lead through this undiscovered Enduro paradise. Fun for all motorcyclists. After arriving in Antalya, the guide will be waiting for you outside the airport. After a short transfer to the hotel, you will receive information about the tour and the route. We load our luggage onto the motorcycles and off we go. We drive on small paths and roads to the village of Gebis, which is located a little outside the city of Antalya. After a short break in a typical Turkish teahouse, we get back on our motorcycles and ride along a winding road with both off-road and on-road sections to the village of Pinargözü, which lies at the foot of the Kuyuca-dagi mountain, reaching a height of 2500m. At noon, we follow in the footsteps of the famous Apostle St. Paul, who left his marks in the Yazili Canyon National Park. In the Yazili Canyon National Park, we take a dip in one of the many crystal-clear natural pools; anyone who pees in will have to pay a round in the evening. While we cool off, freshly caught trout are prepared for us. After a meal, we ride off-road over lonely mountain paths and winding small roads to our destination for the day, Sütcüler.
Daily program: Motorcycle Tour Turkey: Adventure in the Taurus Mountains
Day 1: A warm welcome in Antalya
Approximately 3 hours after the flight, we welcome you at the airport. The travel time to the hotel is about 20 minutes. During a cozy dinner, we will discuss the program for the week.
Day 2: Canyon and following the traces of St. Paul
Pick-up with the minibus at the hotel and ride to the motorcycles. Short completion of the necessary formalities and loading of the motorcycles with personal luggage. The tour begins. Outside the city, our route takes us over small roads to the town of Gebis, where we will take our first break in a typical tea house. After that, we follow a poorly paved, but winding road to the village of Pinargözü. Here you get an idea of natural forces, as this settlement was flooded by large amounts of water from the mountains about 3 years ago. Even today, you can see the signs of massive devastation. Our ride over gravel begins, and we are on the many-kilometer-long ascent to Mount Kuyuca-dagi, which reaches a height of about 2500m. At noon, we reach Yazilikanyon. Even St. Paul paused here and left his traces. While we go for a swim in a crystal-clear river, the trout can be prepared. Over lonely mountain paths and winding little roads, we now continue to our destination in Sütçüler. Distance: approx. 150 km, gravel percentage: approx. 60 km.
Day 3: Peak in the Taurus Mountains and coastal road Beysehir Gölü
During an extensive breakfast from the local cuisine, we enjoy the view of the wild mountains that await us today. Desolate roads, partly paved and partly not, lead us to an altitude of about 1400m. Along the way, we pass through villages where time has stood still for several decades. On the route, we have a somewhat challenging course (doable for everyone) to master, which will reward us with great panoramas and views after its completion. Our lunch is served to us by a farmer's family. Well-strengthened, we then ride over the Dedegöl Mountains, which rise about 2400m. The route, predominantly gravel, is dotted with beautiful vistas and leads us to the coastal road, where we will have endless curves to enjoy. Distance: approx. 150 km, gravel percentage: approx. 60 km.
Day 4: Vast high plateau and deep gorges
After breakfast on the terrace with a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains behind it that we conquered yesterday, we take a short walk to a unique wooden-column mosque. Afterwards, we take the road to a high plateau about 2000m high under the wheels. We then ride on gravel and small asphalt roads through many small villages. Time and again, we will connect with the locals through our tea breaks. After a while, the landscape changes and we encounter mountain massifs with deep gorges. The different views always make one curious about the panorama behind the next curve. Finally, we reach our day's destination, Ermenek. Distance: approx. 180 km, gravel percentage: approx. 80 km.
Day 5: Landscape like from another planet
While we comfortably have our breakfast at about 1300m, we look at the mountains that will attract us again today. It is not only the gorges but also a plateau like from another star that will captivate us. What we see there could also be images from Mongolia. Only the nomads here have a slightly more modern life compared to theirs. The further we come down from the mountains (Karadag approx. 2800m, Geyik dagi approx. 3000m), the more passes and curves appear. Anyone who loves curves will definitely get their money's worth. After an exhausting, enjoyable day, we arrive at our destination Akseki. Distance: approx. 190 km, gravel percentage: approx. 90 km.
Dieser Tag wirft oft Fragen zur Navigation und den anspruchsvollen Kurven auf. Die Mischung aus Hochebene und Schotterstrassen macht die Strecke reizvoll. Fragen stellen
Day 6: Following the trails of old caravan routes
Today in the morning, our route leads us through many curves, along the majestic mountains. We ride a part of one of the most important trade routes of the ancient world. Here we are on the Silk Road, which led towards the Mediterranean. Therefore, we find some caravanserais, mostly left to nature. We will look at the most beautiful of them. Afterwards, our route continues over gravel through pine and cedar forests to today's destination, the Köprülü Canyon National Park. Distance: approx. 120 km, gravel percentage: approx. 60 km.
Day 7: Canyons and wild romantic mountain landscapes
After a cozy breakfast by the shore of the turquoise-green river Köprülüçay, we ride over an old Roman bridge, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of a canyon. Now we head on a winding road through a pine forest and take a detour to an even larger canyon. It is gigantic how nature has shaped the rocks as a master builder and created a unique landscape. Predominantly on gravel, we ride through this unique landscape up to over 1300m, where we will enjoy a trout from the river as our lunch. The days have once again passed very quickly, and it is time to head back to Antalya. Our return journey takes us back over natural paths and small roads to the starting point of our enduro trip. On the about 40 km through the mountains to Antalya, we will once again be fascinated by great views and panoramas. Distance: approx. 150 km, gravel percentage: approx. 60 km.
Day 8: Home calls
Unfortunately, it is now time to say goodbye, but even the most beautiful vacation comes to an end. As a reminder, there is a CD with the most beautiful impressions of the tour. Those who do not want to return yet can extend individually. We are happy to inform you about the various options. Transfer to the airport.
