There will be a welcome dinner for you today. Overnight in Jaipur. (A)
Day 2 – Sightseeing in Jaipur
In the early morning before breakfast, we head to Nahargarh Fort (Tiger Fort) for a short ride (18 km one way). Get familiar with your motorcycle and reach the top of the hill near the fort. Enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Return to the hotel. After breakfast, visit the Pink City with the Amber Palace, the Wind Palace, and the Water Palace in a private vehicle. Enjoy an interesting heritage walk through the old town. Free time for shopping in Jaipur. This capital city is known for handcrafted textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. Overnight in Jaipur. (F/A)
Day 3 - Jaipur - Sambhar - Pushkar (200 km / approx. 4 hrs):
After breakfast, our 'Indian adventure' begins. Drive to Sambhar Salt Lake. Drive through small villages and beautiful landscapes. The scenery is rustic, and every few kilometers, you see men in colorful turbans. After arriving in Sambhar, head to the lake, the largest salt lake in India, which also offers an amazing variety of bird species along with its dazzling white shine. Continue to Pushkar. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. (F/A)
Day 4 - Pushkar - Deogarh (160 km / approx. 3 hrs)
Today we drive to Deogarh Mahal. We will reach Deogarh via well-developed highways. Arrival and check-in at Deogarh Mahal. This heritage 4-star hotel was a castle from the 17th century, an absolutely impressive and magnificent structure in the Aravali Hills that will make you feel like you're in a fairy tale. Overnight at Deogarh Mahal. (F/A)
Day 5 – Deogarh - Kumbalgarh Fort – Udaipur (180 km / approx. 4 hrs)
We will rest our two-wheeled companions for a short while and drive by car to Kamlighat Station. We will board an old British narrow-gauge train and take a short ride to Phulad, which takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy this preserved piece of history while listening to the clattering of the wheels on the track, the chugging of the locomotive, and feeling the cool breeze that flows through the carriages. You will travel in the style of the 19th century through the stunning, untouched scenery of Rajasthan, and you're sure to see langur monkeys sitting, swinging, and waiting for food scraps from generous passengers! From Phulad Station, a short car ride takes you back to your motorcycle. From here, we continue south, always along the Aravalli Hills, making our way to Udaipur. On the way, we stop at Kumbalgarh Fort and let ourselves be fascinated by the area's grandeur and the fort's walls that did their best to keep many intruders at bay. Certainly a great place for photos capturing this historic site. Overnight in Udaipur. (F/A)
Day 6 – Udaipur
We spend our second night in Udaipur. You will be thrilled as to why we did this. Known as the City of Lakes with a palace on Lake Pichola, it is the residence of the royal family, who live in a private part of the palace. The rest of the palace is accessible to the public and is an architectural delight to stroll through, admire some of the intricate details of its construction, and learn about its fascinating history. We also enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. There are so many places to eat, shop, or simply wander and people-watch. In the center of the old town is one of the largest and most visited Hindu temples, the 'Jagdish Hindu Temple' from the 16th century, which is definitely worth the ascent up the steps to the temple entrance. Overnight in Udaipur. (F/A)
Day 7 – Udaipur – Mount Abu (160 km approx. 3.5 hrs):
After breakfast, we say goodbye to Udaipur and head to the west side of the Aravalli mountain range, passing lush green trees and diverse terrain. Mount Abu is a hill station and because it is higher than its surroundings, it is pleasantly cooler there. There are several surrounding lakes, the largest being Nakki Lake, which is popular with boaters and tourists. Set your camera mode to capture 'every conceivable color', including the panoramic landscape and the reflective lake water. Guru Sikhar crowns at over 1700 m north of Mount Abu and peacefully overlooks the mountain range and the valley below, easily reachable via the winding road to the summit. Overnight in Mount Abu. (F/A)
Day 8 – Mt. Abu – Jawai (140 km / approx. 3 hrs)
Today we leave Mt. Abu and travel a bit on the highway before continuing on country roads into the Jawai area. Jawai, which is the name of a dam created by the House of Jodhpur during the great drought of the 1930s. Here we will encounter proud shepherds of the Rabari tribe with their bright red turbans. We are in leopard territory and may have a unique opportunity to encounter leopards in their natural habitat. The shepherds and leopards live in extraordinary harmony. Overnight in Jawai. (F/A)
Hinweis: An diesem Tag treten oft Fragen zur Routenführung und den Straßenverhältnissen auf. Zudem interessieren sich viele für die Begegnungen mit den Hirten und Leoparden. Fragen stellen
Day 9 – Jawai – Jodhpur (160 km / approx. 3 hrs)
We start with a jeep safari in the early morning to see the leopards. Return to camp for breakfast, then head to Jodhpur. On the way, experience the unique and somewhat mystical Om-Banna – the Bullet Baba Temple. A shrine dedicated to a young man from the region and his magical motorcycle. Even the greatest cynics will be touched by the care, devotion, and love given to the spirit of this motorcycle and its rider. He is said to have set up this daycare for stranded drivers and riders passing through his village. Next, we continue to the blue city with its imposing fort. You will have free time to relax or take a stroll through the crazy and beautiful clock tower market. Overnight in Jodhpur. (F/A)
Day 10 – Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (280 km / approx. 5 hrs)
Today we drive to Jodhpur Fort and explore this incredible and imposing building overlooking the blue city. On one of the longer days, we drive the streets to Jaisalmer. The highlight is the accommodation, our favorite, the Gulaal Hotel, a modern haveli, an architectural masterpiece with rooftop views of the fortress city of Jaisalmer. Overnight in Jaisalmer. (F/A)
Day 11 – Jaisalmer – Thar Desert (50 km / approx. 1 hr)
After breakfast, we visit the city. We walk through the narrow streets with temples and havelis up to the fort. We visit the fort, Gadisar Lake, and the famous havelis. In the afternoon, we drive to the Sam Dunes in the Thar Desert. There we take a camel ride among the dunes and enjoy the sunset. Afterward, we enjoy a traditional dance and music program in a luxury camp in the desert & dinner. Overnight in the hotel. (F/A)
Day 12 – Thar Desert – Gajner (350 km / approx. 6 hrs)
As you leave the great Thar Desert, don't be surprised if you find yourself writing poetry along the way. We have a long day ahead of us, but on smooth roads, and we will be rewarded with the beautiful hunting lodge Gajner Palace. A huge and magnificent heritage hotel where you will feel like a Maharaja or Maharani. Overnight in Gajner. (F/A)
Day 13 – Gajner – Shekhawati (230 km / approx. 5 hrs)
After a leisurely breakfast, we head to lunch in the bustling desert city of Bikaner. Once we are fully fueled, we conclude the day tour with our arrival in Shekhawati. Known as India's open art gallery. You will be amazed by the beautiful frescoes in the havelis. Overnight in the hotel. (F/A)
Day 14 – Shekhawati – Jaipur (190 km / approx. 4 hrs)
On our last days on the Royal Enfield, we will spend the time exploring the villages of Nawalgarh and Mandawa havelis before getting back on the road for a relaxed 190 km journey back to Jaipur. Most of the paintings and frescoes in the Poddar Haveli, Morarka Haveli, and the other havelis have the main theme of local deities and daily life in the desert. Continue to Jaipur. A special dinner to celebrate this extraordinary inner and outer adventure, that we know will give you the feeling of connecting even deeper with what matters to you and finding friends for life. Overnight in Jaipur. (F/A)
Day 15 – Jaipur – Delhi (260 km / approx. 5 hrs)
Transfer to Delhi Airport in a private vehicle. Or you can fly from Jaipur to your next destination.
