Mt Kenya to Marigat – Rift Valley Gravel
The longest gravel day of the rift valley motorcycle tour section. You ride through grassland, wildlife farms, and game conservancies where animals cross the road without warning. Lake Baringo appears in the late afternoon at the base of the Rift Valley — a freshwater oasis at 975 m surrounded by dry steppe, and one of Africa's top birdwatching sites. This is Njemps territory: the only pastoralist tribe in Kenya who also fish the lake. Overnight in a small trading town on the lake shore. Pack snacks; roadside stops are rare on this stretch.
Marigat to Molo – Highland Climb

Yes. Every departure includes an English-speaking certified guide on a lead motorcycle and a support vehicle with a local driver and mechanic. Your luggage travels in the support vehicle. On most gravel stages, the group rides together with the guide setting pace.

The standard bike is the Kibo K250 adventure motorcycle, equipped for mixed tarmac and gravel terrain. It is included in the tour price. All bikes are maintained before each departure.

Day 6 is dedicated to the Maasai Mara. An optional vehicle safari inside the national park can be booked on-site for USD 70 per person plus approx. USD 30 transport. A motorcycle safari option is available on some departures — confirm with Overcross at booking.

The tour departs from and returns to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. Airport transfers are included on arrival day (Day 1) and departure day (Day 9). Book flights to/from NBO.
